  • "Biggus Dickus" quote is more important to the history of cinema than "I'm Bond. James Bond" itself.

  • The equipment of the Praetorian Guard is a bit off, and the character John Cleese is playing is apparently a centurion, so his equipment if off. Historically inaccurate, but delightfully funny.

  • @14GloryofRome14 They were on a tight budget

  • @14GloryofRome14 Oh piss off. It's a good film so just, Get a life ...

  • @Hoodster1000 Oh come now, I'm just picking apart inconsequential inaccuracies for my own entertainment. I know it's a good film, and I love it! "Get a life ..." I'm already alive.

  • @14GloryofRome14 Unfortunately.

  • "Now, what is your name... Jew?"

    "Brian, Sir"

    "Bwian, eh?"

    "No, No, Brian"

"Ho ho ho, the little wascal has spiwit!"

    "Has what sir?"

    "Spiwit!"

    "Yes, he did sir!"

"No, no, spiwit is bwavado, a touch of dewing do..."

    "Oh! About 11 sir".

  • I LOVE Monty Python!!! This movie was hilarious

  • haha, "your father was a woman?"

  • lol! i saw the movie and i was laughing so hard when i saw it the first time! its still so funny now!

  • Heil Caesar!

  • "thwo him to the fwoor" haha, that phrase actually popped in my head last week when i was at work, made me laugh then, even more so now seeing it all it's glory, superb stuff.

  • "You're a woe-man?

    "A Roman, sir."

Too many funny bits in the film to consider only one as the greatest, but this has to be up there with the best.

  • ok,mikes facial expressions in this are hysterical.i read that they told the soldiers, not to,under any circumstances to laugh.Well as you can see....

    Smile.God loves you

laughed so hard at this lol

  • Love it when people acctually understand the extraordinary humour in this clip! I mean, it's just so.. much fun!

Watch it (or more preferably the whole movie in its full glory!) a late night with some mates and pancakes, It'cant get better than that ^^

  • I would love to watch this movie, with the exception that My friends probably wouldnt be allowed to watch htis and momma doesnt like it.She says its blaspemous.grr.One day at midnight i will watch a double feature of rocky horror and Brian.Followed by veggietales to cover up guilt lol.

    with pancakes

  • HahHA! ^^ If she actually calls it 'blasphemous' I am now officially her biggest fan XD

Let's fight for everybodys right to watch this piece of cultural history!

  • I actually think it is *That* good. It is a classic example of English humour (of which opionios differ a lot of course) and the predecessor of many films of silmiar kind and even of such comedies that does not seem to have any connection to it what so ever.

Clearly it is still not the summary of our "cultural history", but it sure is part of it! Monty Python were pioneers of their league and should be credited accordingly.

  • you must be very sad then in that respect,no one said this is culture, this is PYTHON

  • @momcnrock rocky horror at midnight is the best ever!!! ^-^

  • Wait until Biggus Dickus hears of this!

    XD XD XD

  • thats soooo funny

  • That's what they call mature humor ^^

  • I love this :D

    "Bwian, eh?" Ahahahahaaa :D

  • "No,no -it's Brian" *dwell im to the floo!" ^^
