  • Let's face it - during the Slim Chance/Rough Mix years, Ronnie was making better music than either Rod or Woody.

  • Ronnie was in a league all his own and Slim Chance was pure talent. He chose his playmates well.

  • That´s wonderful - so is the whole of the album "One for the road" which never was rereleased on CD. So many beautiful songs on that one. Also there seems to be no DVD of Ronnie. Hard to believe but his mobile studio still exists and is owned my Mark St. John (Pretty Things). I was in this last year.

  • needs to be in the hall of fame. pure genius.

can't help but smile when he plays.

Ronnie Lane is an unheralded treasure, and to be honest,it is probably for the best. The only people that know about Ronnie are the ones who truly appreciate him.

  • Magic. A very rare and very special video. I'll never forget listening to' Ogdens' for the first time. It was the first album that really shook me and Ronnie was the life and soul of every band he was ever in. A true genius.

  • Amen desy, Ronnie (Lane) truly was the heart and soul of the "Small Faces" as well as the "Faces" ...Rod and Woody were great but Plonk held it all together, he was the man indeed!!

  • Nothing but great comments for the greatest of songwriter/performers and lover of life that he truly was...bless ya Ronnie, you made our lives so much the better!

  • How brilliant, I was lucky enough to see Ronnie and the Band a few times, and had the albums. The best thing about seeing all these vids, is that the band always seem to be enjoying themselves. Greatly respected, and sadly missed - Ronnie's music is timeless.

  • @taichi500 I know you mean Slim Chance -but I've thought that these guys were our answer to 'The Band'?

  • @anthonythirteen There can be no better recognition than that.

Have a look at my Ronnie Lane vids

    Cheers

  • Great song.

  • The one and only. Consistently fabulous song writer and a spirit that shines through everything he did and touches you. Incomparable, and top man.

  • I couldn't agree more. Listening to Small Faces records as a teenager was a life changing experience for me. I didn't know music could be so good. I think he's one of the best songwriters and bass players ever.

  • You take the very thoughts from me too, Ronnie was just incredible and will never be forgotten, his music so real, so earthy and valid, as you put it so well a 'TOP MAN'

  • What a legend... where can i download this for my mp3?
