Actually, the basic ideals Marx & Engels thought of were almost perfect..yet ALL communist countries have failed. All the ones currently still in existence are poor. China is just mooching off the U.S. and if we don't stop it, America will fall as well. Soviet Communism cannot work.Pure Communism? Maybe so but a Republic with communist-like ideals is what we need to have.

I liked the czars better. The aristocracy was far more honest in how much they were going to stick it to the people. Communism had far more promises and the same ruling class. They did make an awesome national anthem though. I wonder how many choirboys starved to death when they dared speak their minds.

@budusheeee Just imagine 2 workers that do the same work. One of them is lazy and not doing much while the other one is working diligently. In the communism idea, they both get the same money. The problem - Why should I work hard, when I get paid no matter how well I'm doing my job? There is no rivalry and this results in stagnancy - no inventions, no optimization, no progress ...

Basically the individual isn't worth that much compared to the whole society.

So, I prefer capitalism!
