  • I bought this record (LP) years ago. Still got it but I had never seen the band playing. Many thanks for posting they are fabulous.

  • Hey Roysonowl 1 - Johnny here - SharpCuts/Slingshots/Carmen Ghia and the Hotrods -

Never did see them live but their 10 inch was one of my first inspirations.

  • Don't know if you've heard but Whirlwind have reformed (Mick and Rob) and will be touring. Checkout Facebook, they are on there.

  • Two fantastic rockabilly/rock n' roll albums. Nigel was a great singer and his later solo stuff was fab too.

  • Where is this from? Brilliant! Saw them at Limit club in Sheffield! Bought single, album etc.

  • Just to say that Gary is alive and well and living in Cornwall. I heard from his sister a couple of weeks ago.

  • A geat cd 'In the Studio'- both albums on one cd - fanatstic. Midnight Blue is a classic. Shame Nigel Dixon left us early...

  • Well what can i say, brings back memories...this was one of the first rock 'n roll/rockabilly records i bought. Next to Elvis, and Gene & Eddie!

Great voice, great band, great song!

    Thanks for posting this one!!!

  • Whirlwind were on the bottom of the bill at my first ever gig, (supporting Ian Dury & the Blockeheads and Matumbi at the Ilford Odeon in 1977). The audience was full of punks (this was punks vs teds days, remember) and you could hear an audible gasp of "Fucking Hell - Teds" when Whirlwind came on - but they stormed the place! Got me into rockabilly. A vastly unerrated band.

  • Mik was my Bro-in-law and so I got to see them loads and would love to see more of these vids if they exist. R.I.P. Nigel & Gary

  • Thank you Aldo for this video. Put Teenage boogie in here too.
