dead silence is a great perk..true u can hear other ppls footsteps if u have a decent headset, but that doesnt mean they cant hear u as well. dead silence allows u to be an assasin which is way more fun

Out of curiosity, why do you use dead silence in a public match. I have TB headphones as well, and find that in a public match, if i hear an access amount of enemy footsteps, I can just crouch or zoom in (smg speed) and hear them just as well.

I'm sorry but dead silence is such a USELESS perk when playing in PUBLIC games. 80% of the cod population do not listen for footsteps. It's not a bad perk, but it doesn't have much of a use in public games with terrible people.

that's only half of it's use. With a decent set of headphones, you can hear enemy footsteps over damn near anything so as long as you know your teammates aren't that close by.

What I mean is, you can use that to your advantage by getting YOUR own headphones and listening for their footsteps. It's like having a UAV up all the time. You will eventually be able to know exactly where they are just by sound before they know you are there.

I still say Martyrdom is a noob perk, it's simply an over used effortless kill perk. I mean honestly, what was IW thinking. It doesn't even make sense. What guy gets shot....dies...and drops a live grenade on his corpse.... Only on CoD. Last Stand is just annoying though, at least it requires effort to reap its benefit. Jugg I don't get... I die more with it. That's my experience.

I do, all the time. They usually kill me when I'm pinned down taking shots. Also, on occasion I'll get ready to throw a nade myself, but a teammate will die right beside me and I'll accidentally pick up their Martyrdom unknowingly and kill myself. I wasn't really saying that it gives me trouble, I was more saying it is senseless and annoying, as far as perks go. Last Stand is even more annoying(me being a sniper), but AT LEAST it takes some effort to reap its benefit.

u should use steady aim instead of dead silence because u basically always fire from the hip

i find that dead silence is only useful in hardcore and on my ghost class

when u get really good with a weapon u realise dead silenced and extreme conditioning are better most of the time. Dead silence for any map where the action isnt packed all in 1 point

and extreme condition for all those map. the only exeption to that is shipement where steady aim and deap impact rule

Also, Dead SIlence is pointless if you don't have a good headset or a good stereo system. And it differs on game types. FFA = Definitely need it! Domination = very loud game from announcements and grenades. I personally love using dead silence just because it's alerted me of flankers so many times
