I have an 07 Phazer fx. Dad has a 2012 Fx nytro and mom has an 05 Rs Venture. Yamaha. Its kind of a big deal. From the reliabilty to the G pulling torque, nothing beats yamaha. They've benn in the family since 1981.

Been riding a 07 RS Rage GT in Maine since I bought it brand new, nothing better on the trail in my opinion and I rode them all before I made my purchase.
I also have a 1997 Yamaha Vmax 500 2 Stroke and it's like heaven! So God knows how the new Yamaha sleds are like. Sweet video guys Yamaha Is the way to go!
My friend is 12 years old and he has a 2006 yamaha apex and he loves it and his dad has the same and he loves it too. They sound like a great sle and they love the fuel engected
what's up with the yamaha fxr clothing, it fucking sucks.. me and my girlfriend have 2sets of fxr flotex clothing.. Worst snowmobile clothing I ever owned.. Does breath at all.. It's like the outside layer is made og garbage bags.. My old reima jacket is 100 times better than my new fxr jacket..
Where is the 2strokes? All yamaha riders I know have given up on yamaha.. To heavy, get stuck way to fast, and the balance of the sled just isn't right.. Not my personal opinion.. But what yamaha owners who switched back to 2 strokes say about their old sled.. What is the piont of a super reliable engine when your getting stuck anyway?
@vectraB97 maybe you are right about the balance. I dont know, becuase I have not ridden one. but if you buy a 4 stroke, you have too expect that its heavy and that you might get stuck faster than with a 2 stroke
yamaha takes pride in them having the best for stroke sleds. I think their falling behind in the industry. both polaris and skidoo make equally good four strokes and the new arctic cats just kick the yamahas ass.
Im going to stick with my Polaris 2 STROKE! The 2 stroke are only like a quarter of the weight of a 4 stroke. no big difference there =) Bet my 2 stroke will go farther then any of the yamahas.

@fallcildren I race and ride alot of back country. lot of boon docking. Thats why. I rode a apex 1000 and loved the power but for what i do there is no comparison.
@polariskid22 Agreed, although I did get a chance to ride my friends supercharged nytro and that thing kick's ass, he also made his sled about 70 lbs lighter and let me tell you, it's one hell of a sled.
yamaha still makes 2 stokes. just cant get them in the US because of the BS epa crap, that does nothing for anybody except raising prices on sleds and powersports because of the emission crap. you can get them in pretty much any other country. did you know yamaha makes diesel outboards and a bunch of other stuff that we cant get becuse of the epa.
The real question is would you rather ride a Nytro or a new Arctic Cat HCR 1100 Turbo. Yamaha has the reliability and proven performance. The Cat is a new product so time will tell how the engine, and sled hold up. I think if I was to go four stroke the Cat gets my pick.
Hey yamaha we need light weight 2 strokes up here in alaska 100% of the trail is not groomed make us sd 2 strokes will tired of replacing doughnut and steering A arm bushings every 2 miles
If they are going some where they better go soon. I can tell you they've lost more customers over the lat three years then they gained when they Apex hit the snow in 2006. They just lost my wife and i for 2012.
4 stroke pioneers proving you have superior tech as long as you have a twice the displacement handicap. Still riding my banshee waiting for you guys to make another two stroke. Let me guess you are stopping production of the YZ line also. Well off to KTM in 2012 when you finally let go completely.
I dont think Yamaha even wants to admit they ever made 2 strokes. lol If they were smart they would put their HPDI 2 stroke technology in a Nytro chassis. I would be first in line. Until then I will keep my SRX 700.
