  • Well, the apple cake sounds really good, my Flip has also been through the wars, and Ben and Cavalier are thorough professionals and trained not to steal fruit from innocent bystanders! BTW, I filmed this scene on a different day and, though it's pretty good, I like yours better. Glad I found it!

  • @oxford14 The video was a bit shaky, but I had discovered that Flips can zoom in and out. Plus I was on vacation, which might've been easy to tell without me saying so.

  • Ben and Cavalier are the horses.

  • @oxford14 Not sure what would've been worse, eating the slice of apple cake I bought & getting some oily stains on my Flipcam, or if I had bought an apple instead and probably would've still been eating it while either Ben or Cavalier were walking right by me.

  • @oxford14 I'm also wondering who some of the human actors are? All I could find on the Colonial Williamsburg site was Ken Johnston as Benedict Arnold, but portraying Col. Douglas in this video.

  • @TomLinkens No on both counts as to the people. You must have filmed this on a Sunday. The incredible Mark Schneider (check out his fan page on facebook) plays Arnold on Sunday. The rest of the week Scott Green has that dubious honor. Scott does a great job and is a huge favorite. The other officer, Colonel Dundas, is played by Dennis Watson who normally portrays Alexander Purdie, publisher of the Virginia Gazette. Dennis Watson is my favorite actor/interpreter at CW.

  • @oxford14 Thank you for all that. Thought there wasn't a lot of info about the cast on the Williamsburg site, but I might've just been lost. And thinking back, I believe it was in Williamsburg on a Sunday. Arrived Friday night, and on Saturday went to the water park, and that lead to the first round of sunburn. Which made me not want to wear my digital camera over my neck, and got a lot of video footage instead.

  • @oxford14 But I did find Mark's Facebook fanpage. Then added two still photos from the Benedict Arnold video, and the video itself. And just in case...I wasn't expecting to get away with the "go back to London" comment forever. At least I won't run into Mark unexpectedly at a Napoleanic War re-eneactment.
