And by the way, why do you keep killing great musicians, Tennessee? Jeff Buckley, Mark Linkous, Owsley, and I'm sure it had something to do with Elliott Smith's death.
Mark, I would love to have met you and talked you out of it! Our painbirds could have flown away together while we could have worked out how to stop them returning home?
I discovered Mark's work after he had already passed, and became extremely depressed upon realizing that, not only would I never be able to see him perform, but that a man who created such beautiful art thought the only viable choice was suicide. Along with Jeff Mangum, who has stopped producing music for different reasons, Linkous was the only person creating music with any kind of real passion, something sorely lacking from today's music.
Mark left a truly beautiful body of work behind him and will be sorely missed. Fortunately there are others out there who are producing music on such a level. You should listen to Mark Kozelek for starters; he's the driving force behind Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon. He's been creating beautiful, passionate music for 20 years that's up there with the best of what Linkous was putting out before we sadly lost him...
talented, sad motherfucker. so many of us would kill for his talent, yet he killed himself. i can't begin to understand how sad he must've felt. my condolences to his loved ones.
great song. so sad in retrospect. does anyone know if he ever released a live album? there's something lacking in the studio albums i think, though i can't put my finger on it.
Ojalá todo esto fuera realmente una pesadilla, un mal viaje y fuera posible imaginarles por ahí, amigos. Yo,no estoy en paz, lo siento mucho. Un abrazo.
I wish I could sing that well when I was sick...

I came to this page to just listen to some great music, and I found out he's dead. Ruined my whole mood. "All I want is to be a happy man."
