i think world war 1 was the most Brutal becouse it was a war of Hand to Hand Basically ppl were ripped to shreads out side the place they slepped that night it was Brutal but more ppl died in WW2, WW2 for number of deaths but alot of those deaths were not as Brutal as WW1 No offence to the Americans but Veitnam isent even in my Top five of Greatest Battles Ever none of the American Wars are top 5 Battles WW1, WW2, First War of Scottish Indipendince and then the Jacobite Risings.

@YTMbrianpeppersND The machine gun is a lot older than WW1. The Prussians encountered French "machine guns" in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870/71 and if the French would have had an actual plan for using them, the Prussians could have lost the war.
