ive actually seen a production where instead of plato it was misto n then plate took the spot with electra or jemima... i like that idea better then victoria n plato becuz they dont really do anything throughout the musical until that part n victoria n misto interact n cuddle n stuff so i think vic n misto wayyy better

This song is beautiful and a cute video. But Mistoffelees and Victoria are not a couple. No cats are couples in the musical of CATS. Brian Bailey who played Mungojerrie in the tour (I don't know if he's left the show yet or not), told me no cats are married, no cats are couples.

The siblings nonsense is nothing, but a matter of opinion. IMO they interact with each other like a romantic couple. Victoria may have done the mating dance with Plato, but I think that was only b/c he was chosen for her to mate with. She backed away from Plato at first b/c she must have been disappointed Misto was not chosen. Also, saying Vic an Misto are siblings is like saying Tugger and Bombalurina are siblings b/c they have a lot in common too.

@katlaw55 Also, Victoria and Misto are just an opinion. The only "romantic" action they have is the leg rub at the beginning of the movie. If anything, the most romantic interaction with Misto is when The Rum Tum Tugger kisses him the the live productions. If Plato was chosen to mate with her why didn't they choose Misto? Misto's actor was specifically chosen for the part, if he was to be her mate then he would fit the position. Also, if she didn't want Plato she would have rejected him.

It really all depends on what person you ask. I don't think any mates/siblings were actually revealed in full besides Skimbleshanks and JennyAnyDots, who are mates. Other than them, it's all up to imagination. I prefer them as siblings, since they do look sort of similar, and I think Misto seems to have a real brotherly connection to her, but hey, them being mates is fine too *SHRUG* heh, wikipedia can be written by anyone, I guess.

Oh well, that destroys my theory! If you've seen the video of CATS Kipperr, I think you might notice that Victoria dances far more "seggestively" with Plato than Misto.

ok, no they aren't. the only production I've seen then do the mating dance in was an amateur production and therefore in really doesn't count. Sorry to shoot you down, but Victoria doesn't do the mating dance with Misto, she does it with Plato in the video and Alonzo in the original London cast, and in the American tour she does the mating dance with Plato. I have seen Cats, I would know.

Yes, well technically not. Plato and Victoria become mates during the ball, but other than that they are almost never seen together. Mistoffelees and Victoria have many more scenes together and a lot of people think it's more probable that they are mates. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, of course. Some believe that Jemima and Mistoffelees are a couple, and that's just their opinion.

That might be a regional production (look at the quality of Tugger's mane in the background). A lot of small companies don't have a Plato, so they use Mistoffelees. However, in London during the year 2000, Mistoffelees did do the mating dance with Victoria (I read a fan review) and Plato (George) is close with Jemima.
