  • Pretty damn great. Killer harmonies. Thanks very much for posting.

  • so funny how stills get interupted

  • Stephen's generic blues noodling and their slow rhythm weren't great. But the videography really sucked. No wonder this was never released. Anyone have anything firm on the legend of Neil not wanting to appear on camera during Woodstock.

  • @kstrehlo According to Neil, he felt it was all 'jive', the 'Hollywood' attitude the cameramen appeared to carry, which distracted him as a musician. He said he was there to make music, not to play for any cameras that happened to be in everyone's faces. Again, this is according to a Woodstock discussion in "Shakey"; a great book well worth reading.

  • @boliverful1 I agree a Great Book! Im reading a book by the author of Shakey about Tammy Waynette

  • no wonder this clip never made the movie, or the other woodstock releases. i absolutely love CSN&Y, but this was a cinematic and musical butchering of one of rock's greatest songs ever.

  • Apparently Neil said to the cameraman..'Get that f**king camera away from me or I'll hit you with my guitar.'

  • Great to see Neil and Steven smiling and enjoying each other. They are something special together. It's just that sometimes it was combustible! :-)

  • neil young never ever rubbed noxema into his belly. but he may have imbibed other drugs at some time.!!

  • @burlyburt123 just listen to his song hitchhiker hahaha

  • They Should have included this on the DVD.

  • @ledZep342 They should release rge ENTIRE SN-Y set on DVD...the WONT WARNER arseholes

  • @DavelovesRealMusic Yea, they should release everyone's set from woodstock!

  • @ledZep342 Really--why cant they release a DVD of ALL of Creedence OMG that would be amazing. we KNOW there is MORE CSN-(without ? with Y) at Woodstock locked away--They performed Guinevere which is on the Woodstock 2 LP..but NOT on any DVD available..what are they waiting for ALL the Woodstock generation to be on medicare...they probably ARE..WARNER SUCKS

  • @DavelovesRealMusic Well, I really want to see the full Woodstock boogie, from Canned Heat! :(

  • this is totally heavy and great! The original version of Mr. Soul, with the Springfield brothers at their best, playing the biggest gig of all time.

  • Neil did shot heroine and was on drugs a lot while preaching against them. I mean I am not saying anything bad about Neil that most fans don't know who don't have their head in the sands. Pretty bad but priceless version of Mr Soul.

  • @11xzxzxz neil did not shoot up...he said in an interview he was close to heroin...but never tried it

  • @stewartakaryan Thanks for correcting me about the heroin. I was really quoting something I read on web said by someone else who sounded as if he knew..

  • what a great vid!

  • hello , are you sure this is from woodstock ? where did you get this footage ? it only sounds like around 3 people clapping ? are you sure this was from woodstock ? neil says he was on acid that day and tripping somewheres out in big sur ?

  • @GodfreRayKing Neil ever took acid.

  • @GodfreRayKing Yeah, this is from Woodstock. Notes were taken and Neil skipped most of the Acoustic set. But he was there, but he didn't want to be filmed. He thought the filming was distracting the audience from the music.

  • @GodfreRayKing It is absolutely Wooodstock...

  • @GodfreRayKing Neil was at Woodstock, and he's never taken acid. Check up on your facts.

  • @CosmosOfBeauty No, this is not true. He never was an acid head - that's right. But he did try LSD. Do you know his song 'Last Trip To Tulsa'? It's about an acid trip he once had.

  • @Chroesus Do you know the book Shakey? His official biography. It explains why he never took acid.

  • @Chroesus - I've read and heard interviews where he vehemently denied that. According to him that song wasn't about acid at all and he has apparently never even tried it. Not saying you're wrong just sharing what I know about the subject.

  • @GodfreRayKing

This is absolutely from Woodstock, it's a fact. Neil was there, but chose to stay on the sidelines and only begrudgingly agreed to perform with Stephen during a very quiet lull during the wee hours when most of the audience were asleep.

  • @GodfreRayKing Yes this is from Woodstock, it's from a bootleg DVD "The Unreleased Woodstock Outtakes", i have some of it on my channel.
