  • A little Skynyrd trivia 4 ya';

    Ronnie really liked JJ cale and told Gary that he wanted to "Work up" the breeze Skynyrd style.Gary was responsible for the changes you hear different from JJ's original.

    Another tid bit;

    The person you hear yoo-hoo'ing during the piano solo on the Skynyrd studio recording is drummer Bob Burns.Bob said Al kooper and Ronnie were not too happy about it,but later decided to leave it in and not re record the track.

  • Thanks for the insight. I understand that Lynryd Skynyrd would get into some real arguments over music.

  • Urguments?? LOL Thats an understatement,

    It would start out; "Hey man that ain't how you played it!""F You yeah it is!" "NO IT AINT!" ...Then its; WHOP,BAM BOOM CRASH!!! After that.."You're right brother sorry man" "I Love you brother"

    The abovestory is how they worked out their songs......

  • LOL, I have heard that the right side must have prevailed because their songs have been enduring for sure.

  • great song no matter the style its played. a true sign of a classic tune

  • Thanks, that is a great way to put it.

  • this was a country song till Skynyrd switched it up wasn't it

  • No absolutely sure about that but it is one of those songs that works in a lot of genres.

  • Yes there is reverb of course, when YouTube processes the video it seems like a lot more than it should. I check out the site but no promises.

  • Buck, I gotta hand it to ya, you are country from the word go and you can take all these songs that are rock or those that profess to be country and really "countrynize" them. That certainly expands your fan base!!! LOL!!! *****. Thanks for being on You Tube for us.
