As revealed at the end, it was ALL scripted! Dark Side of the Moon is actually a clever 'mocumentary', a parody, where they were all in on the joke (Kissinger, Rumsfeld, Aldrin, Kubrick's wido etc) :-)

@MTMind2 I saw this footage as part of a documentary in 2005 on SBS iun Australia [free to air multi-cultural TV]. I noted the tongue-in-cheek nature of it at that time. Nevertheless, I seriously doubt they were actually joking. There's a very real possibility that this is an extremely accurate acount of what has occured.

But I haven't seen any research where marijuana in it's natural form has cause any brain damage. IF the thc is taken from it and concentrated, perhaps yes, but not in it's natural form.
And you should know that even Vitamin C, if taken from its natural form and concentrated into a pill and taken in excess can cause damage.

@Soulfree2008 I don't think the short-term memory loss is permanent, and isn't measurable to natural short-term memory loss that comes with age. I don't think it causes dependence either. I'm sure some ppl crave the high more than others. Most can put it away with no problems.

I actually read that Stanley did film the footage that we all know from the lunar landing because the US Government was afraid that they would not be able to get any footage successfully back. Think of how poor the film technology was in those days. And imagine if they returned and the footage was all unwatchable. So they went to the king to have footage that they could use and they did in fact use a majority of . They had a whole world watching.

The moon landing program had been announced by JFK during 1963 or earlier. Are other films of later moon landings available? Without Kubrick's wife the above clip is of no evidence because scenes could be cut together that originally had another coherence. But the usual suspects Kissinger, Cheney, Nixon are a part of the story and that makes it very likely.
I just watched 2001 space odyssey and the pictures were shot in 1968! It's perfect under today's requirements! During the cold war it could have been possible, that government decided to make the moon landing happen by fake, to win against the Russians.

@jeffsbored13 You're right, we didn't go to the moon in 1969 in a modified ICBM missile designed to fly to russia. We went to the moon in 1969 in the Saturn V, a 3-stage liquid fueled launch vehicle custom designed for Apollo and never used as an ICBM.
Even in the 1960s most ICBMs were (and all of them are today) solid fueled.

@toosousand Well no; the film-maker has taken other interviews; some of them are talking about Watergate or other government issues or coverups. So he's edited existing interviews to make them look like they are talking about the moon landings. If you watch carefully, none of the politicians actually refers to Apollo or the moon.

You can't hide an Apollo-sized object in "low earth orbit." You can see much smaller low earth orbit satellites from standing on the ground. If they had been in low earth orbit, everyone on Earth would have been able to see them from their back yard.
@spysub08 -- In that video, the lady with the spooky British voice talks a lot about "inserts" but you never see the actual inserts. And at the end of that one section where she's talking about "low earth orbit" they turn the lights on and what you see in the window is the glare of the interior lights.
In another section of "A Funny Thing Happened", they talk about "non parallel shadows" being proof of multiple light sources. Two problems with that:
(1) Multiple light sources do not create a set of non parallel shadows. They create multiple shadows from each object. If there was more than one light source, the deep black shadows would be washed out by the other light.
(2) When he draws lines through the shadows to show they are "non parallel" his lines don't even line up with the shadows.
@spysub08 -- Cool. The main thing I care about is that people don't just "believe" ANYBODY without using their own brain.
And in analyzing something like all the video and other evidence of the Apollo missions, it really helps to understand some basic physics. Not just some facts & figures about physics off of some web site, either, but to be able to actually understand and run some calculations. Many of the basics are easy enough for anyone willing to do a little math.
It depends: A light source can create shadows, but only at a given range; beyond this range, it will not create a shadow: When you walk along a row of street lamps, these street lamps produce a shadow as you walk along, but only one produces your shadow; those which are too far away don't produce a shadow.

This mockumentary contains elements of truth; the fact that Kubrick participated to the fakery of the moon landings may be presenting here in a mocking way, but the fact remains that the NASA has lent expensive material to Kubrick, and it is difficult to believe that it was just by appreciation of Kubrick; it obviously was as a reward for rendered services...and we can guess what these services were.

Do you realize Kubrick wasn't even in the United States during Apollo? Kubrick and NASA may have had a friendly relationship because he hired NASA consultants for "2001."

Nor have I produced Youtube videos claiming that light travels in curved lines, gravity switches off when you go too fast, standard 2-way radios don't work, falling objects zigzag, Kurchoff's current law is wrong, and over 200 other delusional revelations.
What I said is that, even if it was conceived as a "mockumentary", it still contains elements of truth.
This mockumentary makes Kubrick fake the moon landings; it may be intended as a joke, but, if this mockumentary suggests it, it is because the rumor was aleady running that Kubrick particiaped to the faking, with the evidence that the NASA lent him expensive and unique material for his films.

This is such a joke. I study astronomy and I am laughing so hard I am going to have a stroke. We did land on the moon many times and 12 people from the US walked on it. The Soviet union actually was the first to land on the moon but nobody got out if of the craft. So far we are the only ones that walked on the moon. But many have flow around it. If you can fly around it then you can land on it. PERIOD

@YDDES The first human-made object to reach the surface of the Moon was the Soviet Union's Luna 2 mission on 13 September 1959. Im sorry i got that wrong as there was no humans on the craft. So half of my response was true. Again if the Soviet union was able to land a craft on the moon in 1959. Why is is so hard to think 10 years later we could not land on the moon? Again if you can fly around it you can land on it.
@nwtampaguy34 A simple answer: Rocket power. Soviet used the same basic rocket, the R-7, for Sputnik and Luna as they (modified) use today for Soyus. It's WAY much smaller than the Saturn V, and can NOT send even one single man to Moon. In the late 60's and early 70's they designed the N-1, which failed and exploded in all four unmanned tests. It would have had the capacity to land one man on Moon, but since it failed and USA already had gone to Moon, Soviet turned to spacestations instead.

@MTMind2 I saw this footage as part of a documentary in 2005 on SBS iun Australia [free to air multi-cultural TV]. I noted the tongue-in-cheek nature of it at that time. Nevertheless, I seriously doubt they were actually joking. There's a very real possibility that this is an extremely accurate acount of what has occured.

But I haven't seen any research where marijuana in it's natural form has cause any brain damage. IF the thc is taken from it and concentrated, perhaps yes, but not in it's natural form.
And you should know that even Vitamin C, if taken from its natural form and concentrated into a pill and taken in excess can cause damage.

I actually read that Stanley did film the footage that we all know from the lunar landing because the US Government was afraid that they would not be able to get any footage successfully back. Think of how poor the film technology was in those days. And imagine if they returned and the footage was all unwatchable. So they went to the king to have footage that they could use and they did in fact use a majority of . They had a whole world watching.

The moon landing program had been announced by JFK during 1963 or earlier. Are other films of later moon landings available? Without Kubrick's wife the above clip is of no evidence because scenes could be cut together that originally had another coherence. But the usual suspects Kissinger, Cheney, Nixon are a part of the story and that makes it very likely.

I just watched 2001 space odyssey and the pictures were shot in 1968! It's perfect under today's requirements! During the cold war it could have been possible, that government decided to make the moon landing happen by fake, to win against the Russians.
If the "official" discoverers of the moon exposed this lie to their wives on their deathbed, the wives would have never told the truth because of losing their pensions and their "official" heros. Just my 2 cents.

I have to ask the question why all these high ranked officials have got together to make a spoof mocumentary on the moon landing? Why on Earth would they waste there time? For what benefit? To entertain? Since when do politicians do this? Answer... Put some well placed untruths amongst the actual facts and everyone will believe the whole story is bullshit... Very clever.

@toosousand Well no; the film-maker has taken other interviews; some of them are talking about Watergate or other government issues or coverups. So he's edited existing interviews to make them look like they are talking about the moon landings. If you watch carefully, none of the politicians actually refers to Apollo or the moon.

yes this film is a mockumentary, as i say in my notes. however no one seems to be able to explain the film footage of astronauts faking views of the earth with window inserts that make the earth look thousands of miles away, even though they are still in earth orbit? see the last 10 minutes of "A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Moon". Let me know if you can explain why.

@spysub08 -- Yes. I've watched "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon." The film is a fraud. In fact, it's kind of fun to count the obvious lies in it.
You can't hide an Apollo-sized object in "low earth orbit." You can see much smaller low earth orbit satellites from standing on the ground. If they had been in low earth orbit, everyone on Earth would have been able to see them from their back yard.

@spysub08 -- In that video, the lady with the spooky British voice talks a lot about "inserts" but you never see the actual inserts. And at the end of that one section where she's talking about "low earth orbit" they turn the lights on and what you see in the window is the glare of the interior lights.

In another section of "A Funny Thing Happened", they talk about "non parallel shadows" being proof of multiple light sources. Two problems with that:
(1) Multiple light sources do not create a set of non parallel shadows. They create multiple shadows from each object. If there was more than one light source, the deep black shadows would be washed out by the other light.
(2) When he draws lines through the shadows to show they are "non parallel" his lines don't even line up with the shadows.

@spysub08 -- Cool. The main thing I care about is that people don't just "believe" ANYBODY without using their own brain.
And in analyzing something like all the video and other evidence of the Apollo missions, it really helps to understand some basic physics. Not just some facts & figures about physics off of some web site, either, but to be able to actually understand and run some calculations. Many of the basics are easy enough for anyone willing to do a little math.

It depends: A light source can create shadows, but only at a given range; beyond this range, it will not create a shadow: When you walk along a row of street lamps, these street lamps produce a shadow as you walk along, but only one produces your shadow; those which are too far away don't produce a shadow.

This mockumentary contains elements of truth; the fact that Kubrick participated to the fakery of the moon landings may be presenting here in a mocking way, but the fact remains that the NASA has lent expensive material to Kubrick, and it is difficult to believe that it was just by appreciation of Kubrick; it obviously was as a reward for rendered services...and we can guess what these services were.

You have evidence to back up these claims about NASA rewarding Kubrick for staging their moon hoax? (I suppose that's what you mean by "services rendered."
Do you realize Kubrick wasn't even in the United States during Apollo? Kubrick and NASA may have had a friendly relationship because he hired NASA consultants for "2001."

I don't say that Kubrick made everything, but he certainly lent a hand.
Otherwise, why did the NASA lend him very expensive material for his movies; it was certainly a reward for rendered services.
Some have found out that he has left some hints of the hoax in his movies.

Nor have I produced Youtube videos claiming that light travels in curved lines, gravity switches off when you go too fast, standard 2-way radios don't work, falling objects zigzag, Kurchoff's current law is wrong, and over 200 other delusional revelations.

What I said is that, even if it was conceived as a "mockumentary", it still contains elements of truth.
This mockumentary makes Kubrick fake the moon landings; it may be intended as a joke, but, if this mockumentary suggests it, it is because the rumor was aleady running that Kubrick particiaped to the faking, with the evidence that the NASA lent him expensive and unique material for his films.

This is such a joke. I study astronomy and I am laughing so hard I am going to have a stroke. We did land on the moon many times and 12 people from the US walked on it. The Soviet union actually was the first to land on the moon but nobody got out if of the craft. So far we are the only ones that walked on the moon. But many have flow around it. If you can fly around it then you can land on it. PERIOD

Also, the only humans who have flown around the moon were Americans. Other countries have just sent small unmanned probes.

@YDDES The first human-made object to reach the surface of the Moon was the Soviet Union's Luna 2 mission on 13 September 1959. Im sorry i got that wrong as there was no humans on the craft. So half of my response was true. Again if the Soviet union was able to land a craft on the moon in 1959. Why is is so hard to think 10 years later we could not land on the moon? Again if you can fly around it you can land on it.

@nwtampaguy34 A simple answer: Rocket power. Soviet used the same basic rocket, the R-7, for Sputnik and Luna as they (modified) use today for Soyus. It's WAY much smaller than the Saturn V, and can NOT send even one single man to Moon. In the late 60's and early 70's they designed the N-1, which failed and exploded in all four unmanned tests. It would have had the capacity to land one man on Moon, but since it failed and USA already had gone to Moon, Soviet turned to spacestations instead.

If they did send someone, the Russians really need to acknowledge that. The first man on the moon, dead or alive, deserves recognition. Any reason you can think of for why they would still be keeping something like that a secret?

Please note, folks, you never hear any of these political people saying anything about the Apollo program being faked.
