the whole assasin point is to be deadly to a single target , rogue type. so i dont like using traps or whatever tricks, i have sorceress, necro and druid for all kinds of flashy tricks, traps and summons. but the thing is with some finishers the assassin is deadly for the crowd also+cobra strike, u never need potions (except when fighing filthy evil big things like this duriel maggot)
shite, i made short work of him using speed , tiger strike and dragon tail as a finisher move. it was like 4 potions and 30 second battle counting running around to heal. gotta love tiger strike on bosses the damage output is ridiculous :D. for the rest of the lot i use cobra strike with the same dragon tail as finisher. when fighting smth serios i switch to tiger and kick ass literally
Normal game, Ive defeated duriel in first try without dying as an assassin at level 20+ ( forgot the exact lvl count ). My main skill is Blade Sentry ( had 6 lvls of it i think). All I did is drank 3 thawing potions before i went in to the hole and when he's in front of me, i kept casting blade sentry. Casting BS just in front of you is like a buzzsaw in place so his taking lots of damage while i also do normal attacks. I also filled my belt with full rejuv potions. 3 rejuv = full rejuv w/ cube
