Once, Sainsbury's used to be the upmarket place to go. Since the late nineties it lost that title to M&S food then along came Waitrose rendering Sainsbury's to being just another supermarket alongside (at the time) Tesco, ASDA, Safeway and Morrisons now its just the big four. Sainsbury's will never be on top. Tesco(1ist) owns too much, ASDA (2nd) is cheaper then its Sainsbury's which even when i worked there in 2000 resented 3rd place Morrisons 4th but is closing the gap!

I'm off to Sainsburys now, i am dreading it. The queues in north london are ALWAYS diabolical. It's not the amount of shoppers -its the total lack of staff working on the tills.

I have no other super market to go to and they are pretty much the same for piss poor customer service.

I hate their greedy ways. No doubt i'll fill up a trolley, start to queue then blow my top and leave after waiting over 15 minutes.

This does NOT happen in affluent areas in london.
