  • WHERES PART 5!?

  • tomitoku reminds me of mr slugsworth from willie wonka

  • The challenger would've done better if his sponser wasn't crowding him like that...

  • That one dude standing...is a DICK!!!!

  • "Hands off! That ones mine"

  • howd it go? no good totally lost. hav some confidence man

  • LOL

"...trying to psyche out the iron chef..."

    GO CHENNNNNNNN :D

  • 1:40 ...Zhou should be out of the premise so that Nakagawa could be not nervous.

  • I think the challenger could have done much better. Noodles is a huge staple in Chinese cuisine. A chef with so much knowledge should have been able to pick 4 or 5 dishes out of a hat and go at it.

  • Zhou is kinda creepy standing there and staring like he's about to kill Chen

  • in Asian culture slurping is a sign of respect for the chef.

  • hands off. that ones mine.... since when did kenichi turn into dirty harry

  • I understand translating their speech, but did they really need to edit in the slurping? That seems silly to me, unless the slurping is for real, or the dubbers are trying to be funny.

Just one of those things I've noticed.

  • <.< slurping ramen is a sign of respect in Japanese culture. incase you didnt know that, but yeah

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm not disrespecting Japanese culture. I was just saying the dubbers doing the slurping themselves, which I think is silly, for which I could have heard the tasters doing the slurping anyway.

I have taken notice about the slurping of ramen in some anime I have watched, so I was semi-aware of it.

  • well I would've preferred that they did no dubbing cause dubs always turn out cheesy lol

  • @MangakaRob

That's actually a detail i really like about Japanese culture, in that they think a lack of certain table manners is a sign that you're really enjoying the food and a show of respect towards the cook. Besides, trying to make a "No slurping" rule on ramen would be like trying to enforce a "No swearing" rule on a man with Tourettes Syndrome. You just can't help it.

  • @MangakaRob same in chinese too

  • @RiggeDPuzzlE, the Slurping just sounds "dubbed". It actually is their actual sounds.

  • Man, that Zhou guy would make a fantastic ghost in an Asian horror movie. Especially when Chen came back to cook. It was like "Lalalala, cooking" then he turns around and...There he is! That actually made me jump

  • XDDD *snorts* that's great, yeah Zhou is a really intense guy lol

  • Tha Zhou guy is a total creeper. Honestly I believe he violated game rules. It was obvious that he talked to the challenger. Maybe he didn't offer "advice" but he stepped in bounds and communicated to him. No right.

  • they should have given him 15 minutes. he must have turn everything down so it didn't overcook and had to turn heat up when he came back.

  • The Challenger's Master really threw him under the bus.

  • it sucks that chen had to cook all his noodles within 10 mins while still serveing the rest

  • part two for that rule.

  • it was either that or have his finished noodles sit around for 30-40 minutes and be ruined by the time tasting occurred.

  • Hehehe....noodles in dessert...my oh my... :P

  • LOL at 1:23 interviews!

  • where did kenichi Go?

  • See part two, there is a special rule about that.

  • 10 minutes left chen must leave the kitchen.

  • @jeffacimaj somewhere in the fuji tv studios there's a holding area.
