Oh for Christ's sake you dumb nonsmokers just will not leave us alone will you! I am 21 years old and smoke two packs a day, and if I worried about my health, I'd quit, duh I don't take it offensively, but it's all a choice. I've already had cancer as an infant too, doesn't stop me.

@sweiland75 She's not in Saudi Arabia is she. In Russia, women are not required by law to wear a hijab and yet she chooses too. Likewise for muslim women here in Canada. There is a difference between a free expression of religious faith and being forced to do something by somebody else. (We have muslims without hijabs here too.)

He caught lung (and prostrate) cancer 20 years later. He spent a lot of time in a very dusty basement. I'm suspicious the basement dust caused his lunch cancer?

I wish people would just listen! SMOKING IS HARAM, VERY HARMFUL, AND DANGEROUS WHETHER IT'S A HOOKA, A BOOKA, OR A SHOOKA! All these things are bad and a waste of time! I bet if the effects of smoking showed on a person's appearance right away ( just like how it shows in the inside), they would never smoke it in the first place. Smokers should put it that way, and care for themselves, inside and out.

As for it being widespread among Muslims, this is true... I myself am an ex smoker, alhamdulillah I quit. I have many family members that smoke. I know what it does, personally, and how it affects people, physically, psychologically, and financially.

May Allaah make us better and more valuable to the Ummah. ameen.
