Far out, I still can't get over that B he sings in the last chorus; it's awesome on 'The Bends' but being able to perform it live like that is phenomenal. Thanks for the upload, I think this is the only live recording on youtube.
@ChannelSurfer I agree, these are my two favorite songs on the album, and every song on this album i have thought "This is amazing i need to listen to it 50 times"
??? This is my favourite song, not just from the bends, it's my favuorite from all the radiohead discorgaphy, with let down and how to disappear. I don't think that this is their worst song of the album.
It's amazing how songs from the bends still just randomly hit me and i just have to hear them again and again. I have no idea what the complaining is about. The vocal performance in this is unbelievably good!
Yeah, I don't think Thom can reach that high B anymore. Which isn't his fault, he's older now, and his voice has obviously aged. Great song btw, This is actually one of my favorite Radiohead songs.
Yeah seriously I don't know why you got 4 thumbs down, I think it's the weakest track too. Not to say it isn't good but yeah it's just kind of average compared to the rest. I like it, but it's not a high point. This is just my opinion as well!
i don't think so. look at the popular Radiohead songs. they've got more depressive lyrics. No Surprises, Street Spirit (Fade Out), Pyramid Song, etc, etc. but they played these songs on concerts..
This song is about the Hungerford massacre though. I would say that even if the lyrics aren't as depressive, the subject material is more potent. It's possible that's why they don't play it.
they dont play this live because they dont think is good enough, they've said themself that its the worst track on the album, or their least favorite one...
This song is so underplayed. And Jonny is such a cool cat!

He can still hit the A4 in Creep.
smokinsteel 2 years ago
@smokinsteel it goes up to a b4 in this - also look at the reading 2009 performance of creep, yorke's vocals are past their best sadly.

I really think this song was the lowest point on the bends, it just sounds so average compared to the rest. Only my opinion of course!
Davek1990 2 years ago
I totally disagree (and I don't know why you have 4 thumbs down, it's just your opinion!)
When Thom hits his peak in this, it's certainly a high point in the album.

and the last time they did was January, 95
I really hope they decide to play it again, which I think is really unlikely!
