in my country there was a concert, where shingo monks from Japan were chanting. it was only obout half and hour, but i think it was my first time when i was in some sort of meditative state. the energy and atmosphere was cosmic
a also wish shingon teachings were more wide spread in the west i live in the bible belt but am shingon and wish to bring the teachings here where they can do some good NAMO DAISHI HENJO KNOGO
how beautiful- chant hovers and glides like a large winged bird- rising and falling with the wind. Kobo Daishi's great blessing soaring in eternal meditation- touching every heart. thank you.
If you can find a Shingon school in the west within 200 km of you I would suggest you go if you are interested. It can even be difficult to find Shingon practicioners in Japan. It is a very beautiful tradition
I agree, I love this tradition. I visited three Shingon Temples in Okinawa, very beautiful. I also bought a metal statue of Fudo Myo O from a local Butsudan shop.
Wonderful! It is such a beautiful tradition and I wish it was more widespread. I would like to see it made more available as an alternative to the Tibetan traditions in the West. I think in the West is where it will be able to have a more widereaching interface with the Tibetan traditions as well.
It is indeed extremely sad that this AMAZING traditions is not so widespread among us. I'm very proud, that here in Brazil, due the strong presence of japanese immigration, shingon buddhism is one of the first buddhist traditions to touch our soil!!! Japanese buddhism keeps some very ancient buddhist traditions that were almost lost in other east asian countries! Greeting from a theravada buddhist! _/l\_NAMO DAISHI HENJO KONGO_/l\_!!!!
Although I am not buddist, I listen to this to relax, it's the only time I feel Intact and I feel in space
