  • Recipe needs 50g of butter per cake - 50g is approx 4 tablespoons.

If you are making a larger batch 150g is about 3/4 cup (or just under!)

Hope this helps - afraid I am not used to measuring in cups.

    Happy Baking :D

  • @captainjaneway75 Hi, I really like your video, but I have a questions. .How to use all purpose flour (not self-rising one) and is that okay if I don't use bicarb of soda? (I can't find it in my country)

  • @TheAzreal89 Thank you for watching my video.. if you choose to use an all purpose flour thats not self raising you will definitely need to add something to make it rise or it will probably be too heavy. Do you have baking powder in your country? you can use that instead along with cream of tartar. Bicarb may be under a different name possibly in your country? I hope you manage to find the ingredients. :D

  • can you guy please translate the grams for us who live in America

  • @NessieBlackTeamJacob Thank you for watching the film and for your comment! Glad everyone enjoyed it :D

  • wot the story wiv that blender? lol

  • @kumarpassion Have got a new one now... just need to make a new video! :)

  • @WAWAWAWAWWAWAWAWAWAW I think it is in the final texture of the cake/bread. The recipes are often very similar, but a bread is more moist and a cake is slightly lighter in texture - more crumbly perhaps? So probably my recipe could be called a banana bread instead as it is quite moist, and I tend to cook mine in a loaf tin more often.

Either way - I hope you enjoy it and call it whatever you like. :) Thanks for watching.

  • did you preheat the oven?

  • @ballerinavera Yes I usually preheat the oven... I don't have it very high so shouldn't take too long to warm up! Hope you haev success. Best wishes and thanks for watching :)

  • @rosickyo7 Not sure?! I use margarine or butter, don't really see the need to add milk/buttermilk. HTH :)

  • Thanks for sharing....looks great, I will try this one!

  • i'd luv to try thiz recipe! Wat color iz the cake meant to be like?

  • @missrandomcurls It is supposed to be golden brown when cooked :) Thankd for watching.

  • Does the cake remain wet and full of moisture inside or it should be dry ?

  • Yes it should be very moist, because of all the bananas. Thanks for watching. Enjoy!

  • Sorry - was a bit bad - basically - use mixer to cream sugar and margarine together. Peel bananas and blend, pour the banana into the sugar/margarine mix and blend together. Fold in the flour, bicarb and salt. Put in a greased tin and bake on a lowish heat for about an hour.

Enjoy! Hope your ears recovered ok! :)

  • how may bananas do u use

  • You can use about 3-4 medium bananas - the exact quantity isn't too important. Happy baking! :)

  • i made this tanx it was delicious

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

    Thanks for watching x

  • stop motion XD

  • that blender sounds a bit dodged

  • Uhm, that is really a low-fat Banana cake and looks delicious too, thank you very much for your effort and sharing your knowledge in baking.

  • lol cute

  • Divine, but could have been better with some cardamom. However, your cake was shambolic. I succumbed into my greatest food curiousity, that is banana. It was very average. However, some carmel to the base would have set the cake apart from the rest of the wannabe Nigella Lawsons.

  • That looks SO GOOD! I'm going to try that!

  • wow! you cook at a very low temperature!

  • I have a fan assisted oven - quite fierce! Also large cakes retain more moisture if cooked at a lower temp for longer!!

    Thanks for watching my film!

  • I had a piece and then when back for more when nobody was watching! YUMMMYYYYYYY!!!!

  • Thanks!!!! Yes indeed all my fabulous colleagues get to eat my lovely banana cakes!

  • Trust me.. I've had a few slices and it is awesome!!

  • Nice cake, nice video.

    Who got to eat it?
