@captainjaneway75 Hi, I really like your video, but I have a questions. .How to use all purpose flour (not self-rising one) and is that okay if I don't use bicarb of soda? (I can't find it in my country)
@TheAzreal89 Thank you for watching my video.. if you choose to use an all purpose flour thats not self raising you will definitely need to add something to make it rise or it will probably be too heavy. Do you have baking powder in your country? you can use that instead along with cream of tartar. Bicarb may be under a different name possibly in your country? I hope you manage to find the ingredients. :D
@WAWAWAWAWWAWAWAWAWAW I think it is in the final texture of the cake/bread. The recipes are often very similar, but a bread is more moist and a cake is slightly lighter in texture - more crumbly perhaps? So probably my recipe could be called a banana bread instead as it is quite moist, and I tend to cook mine in a loaf tin more often.
Either way - I hope you enjoy it and call it whatever you like. :) Thanks for watching.
@ballerinavera Yes I usually preheat the oven... I don't have it very high so shouldn't take too long to warm up! Hope you haev success. Best wishes and thanks for watching :)
@captainjaneway75 i just baked the banana cake yesterday! i preheated the oven to 130*. six people tried it and they all said its awesome! great recipe! easy and tastes great! :D

thanks for the recipe it was fun learning from you...cant wait to show a certain some that i can actually bake..anyways just put the miwture in the oven hope it turns out yummy :)
@XFleurXrebelleX Thank you for taking the time to watch my video..... I hope your cake turned out well and you have enjoyed eating it! :) Also great warmed up with custard if you have any left. ;)
Sorry - was a bit bad - basically - use mixer to cream sugar and margarine together. Peel bananas and blend, pour the banana into the sugar/margarine mix and blend together. Fold in the flour, bicarb and salt. Put in a greased tin and bake on a lowish heat for about an hour.
Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

Recipe needs 50g of butter per cake - 50g is approx 4 tablespoons.
If you are making a larger batch 150g is about 3/4 cup (or just under!)
Hope this helps - afraid I am not used to measuring in cups.
Happy Baking :D

@rosickyo7 Not sure?! I use margarine or butter, don't really see the need to add milk/buttermilk. HTH :)

Does the cake remain wet and full of moisture inside or it should be dry ?
jawad384 2 years ago
Yes it should be very moist, because of all the bananas. Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
