Used Penguin Suit to beat the enemies, then used the last frozen enemy to throw at the 3rd Star Coin. I'll never play this god-awful level again!

To anyone who hasnt played this level. its NOT as easy as it looks, the part from 0:30 on is rage-enducing and nothing is more depressing than using your own fireball to get the 2nd coin and realising its bounced all the way along the ice blocks destroying your path to the goal...

SMH. This is easy and doesn't count. You're using the invincible star AND the propeller hat. Let's see you do it with the items you're supposed to have in that level. (fireball thingy). And you didn't get the one up in the end!

I CANNOT get the 2nd coin and get past those plants. If I stop even for a second, the burst such big holes in the ice that I simpley cannot pass. I have to zip right through while all the holes are 1 and 2 wide

@TheRezwar yes. when you beat the game you unlock world 9. each level in w9 requires you to get all the star coins in the... well, i'll give you an example: get all star coins in world 1, you unlock 9-1. get all star coins in world 2, you unlock 9-2 and so on. just to let you know, there is no 9-9. so don't believe anyone who says that crap.

@SuperXD25 Yup, possible as small, not Mini, Mario. Once you die 20 or so times, you get the hang of it.  The last 2 star coins w/o the propeller mushroom is tough tho...

@SuperXD25 I just now finally, finally, finally got that third star, and I used fireball Mario to do it. I killed the two guys at the end as fast as possible so I could control the ice blocks myself. I then cleared them such that I had to jump left down to the coin, and jump off the wall to the upper right, with another block at head-level to prevent me sliding off. I will never ever play this horrible level ever again!

guys! listen,, the best way to beat this level is just get the first 2 coing,, fuck the last one, just beat the level and save the game!!! that way you have the first 2 coins saved.. then just grab the star and run through the board and when u get to the ice bridge with the plants, all you do is run and slide and duck and you pass themall,, then just killing the firebros will be the hard part

This one was difficult but if you use your jump/shake and time it right you can run the level really fast. You don't even need fire if you wait for the bros to burn the ice.

Level is easy once you figure it out. First coin is a no-brainer, second coin just stand on top of the ice and shoot a fireball to the LEFT, and then try not to screw up jumping back and forth to get the third coin.

The only hard part about this level is getting the power-up and the extra life in the beginning. the rest is a cakewalk.

This is so cheap, I did this without using any power ups, only the stuff you aquire on the level. Didn't use the star either.

If you time your jumps correctly, you can jump between the piranna plants in this level.

i figured out an easy way to get the second coin if you lose your spinner, get the fire flower right before the coin, then stand above the coin and shoot a fireball to the LEFT, so you dont fuck up your escape route, then just jump down and get it and run

This level is really the only level where the Star comes in handy. Beat the level once, and don't even worry about the coins. Then you can play it and if you are about to die you can hit start and then exit the level and start all over with the suit you started with.

This showed me it can be done! Impressive to do all 3 in one swoop! I used the flight suit to get coins #1 & #3, then went back for #2 and got the fire balls. I did it in 4 runs, first was a run for the flag so I can restart easier, then each coin...
