A man can fight for a cause without committing to the nature of evil, and can do so through forgiveness. A victim you may appear at first, however not to be cliche but I use Mohandas Ghandi as a prime example in which such was a success. Nonviolence will not work as long as Israel is allowed to operate with complete impugnity in the territories. Israel's answer to peaceful and non-violent protest is to murder or imprison the lead organizers and conduct reprisal attacks of collective punishment on the Palestinian population as a whole.
Any potential Palestinain Ghandi in Israel would be quickly imprisoned or summarly shot. The only real option is that the answer wiil have to come from outside of Israel.

The war of Afganistan is stil ungoing, despite the 4 year hiatus. But under Obama, we will deliver victory to the Taliban & Alqueda. Obama is waffling a lot and the 30,000 his going to send doesn't help since the commander needs at least 80,000 troops.
So there is a good chance we are going to loose that one. Probably Obama is going to call it a "Strategic Retreat".
We can't call Al-qaeda terrorsit & any terrorist attack will be call man-made-disasters.

Of-course there is discord in the reporting of the news but I strongly believe the media's purpose is to report what is in the interest of the public (don't confuse with report what the public is interested in, that's bullshit like paris hilton). I could have answered this question in one word: religion.
