One of my absolute favorite saints! To those who say we Catholics worship saints, I say No! We look up to them. Padre Pio loved Jesus and lived such a holy life...he is an inspiration that even 2,000 years after Christ, true Christians like himself have lived....and LOVED :-) Oh how he loved people....and I how I want to be able to love like Jesus as well! :-)

Everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as your master and saviour is a saint. Catholics pray to statues and pictures, thats called idolotry. And our Lord God Almighty forbids it. If you pray to pio then the devil has won!!! Padre pio is in the way of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the WAY! Get it ???

why do you people need to worship ? why do you feel like getting on your knees ? gee....oh and just read the book bout PIO and there is not a shred of evidence and if you say all the people he healed are proof then i would say the credibility of those people is none because they are believers so they are biased. could the stigmata be a result of his very very bad immune system , i mean he was sick all the time.

btw you can get cancer by just believing you have it

Dear friend, the lives of the people St Pio touched are a powerful witness, because many had no faith and were converted to Christ by encountering St Pio.

His wounds were perfect wounds - that is, not messy or infected just always the same. They never healed and they gave out a sweet fragrance.

On Good Friday each year he would suffer the passion of Christ at 3pm. The marks of the scourging and crowning with thorns would appear on him. He would die at 3pm his heart stopping

He would then return to life. Doctors and scientists - also from the U.S.A were there to study him at that time.

They also studied him when he was in ecstasy. His brain activity during an ecstasy was like that of a person in a coma. When in ecstasy, the priest who he obeyed could tell him to come out of the ecstasy from another room, and they would record exactly when the command was given - and St Pio would obey at exactly that second. Read more and pray for guidance.

@mysticsailor1983 that is not true my friend. You will neither get Cancer or die from it just by believing you will. I had Stage 3c breast Cancer and I wanted to go home and be with the Lord. But just because I hoped I'd die & escape this rotten world. He(God) refused me that desire. Because He is in charge of the day you come into this world and also the day you die. It says so in Ecclesiastes. U can do things 2 cause it, but u can't think it. Twisting scripture 2 make so doesn't make it so.

@dolcevita4me I was an evangelical protestant for a long time. I thought ("knew') the Catholics didn't even worship Jesus- they worshipped Mary, the Saints, & the even a man whom they considered to be the Vicar of Christ- whatever that meant. I was sure that they needed Jesus to use me and show them the error of their ways. Then God decided to show me how wrong I had been. I read the EARLY church Fathers ca 80-350AD. I saw that we as PROTESTants don't know our History. The Bible is their baby.

@sharbel23 Bothmy husband and me were received into the Church, on 4-4-10. It was the one trip that I never thought I'd EVER make. I wake up daily & thank Him for showing me the truth. I'm open for anything the Lord may have. I absolutely love Saint Pio. He would've been my patron if I would've been allowed. But St. Faustina got me!! :)

I thought as a protestant I had it all, but now I have the Communion of Saints! Hebrews 11, for those with questions. Mary is my mother! Rev 12:17 tells me.

@chassebeth Thank you for sharing your story! Welcome to the Catholic Church! :-) Protestants are still are brothers and sisters. The Catholic Church welcomes all! :-) Padre Pio was a Catholic. And so was Mother Theresa. How loving they were...their lives bring me closer to Jesus.

Just to be clear. Contrary to what the txt over states, Padre Pio (Fracesco Forgione) was not named for St. Frances of Assisi, but rather St. Frances de Paola ... another GREAT Franciscan. Search his name here on You Tube to learn about him.

Thank you for posting this video on Padre Pio. He is my Spiritual Father as well. I am inspired by his passion for Jesus' Passion. This reminds me that I must use the gifts that God has given me to help other people, not just for mu enjoyment. I am also greatful that my heart is open to receiving the message of redemption, and what that really means.

This is awesome, I had the wonderful gift of being blessed with Padre Pios glove at a conference by a priest who knew Padre Pio and it was a wonderful experience, the priest advices that Padre Pio can be anyones "Spiritual Father" we only have to ask and he blessed me again with the glove after confession! it was an experience I will never forget!

I only knew very little of St. Padre Pio, so thank you again for this video, it helps me to learn more about this great saint!!
