@HubbaBubba776 I live on Maui, and have seen similar things with livestock. These cows graze on pasture land on cliffsides that drop into the ocean. We also have flash floods on Maui that can cause livestock to be swept out. The grazing for cows on Maui is superb and they have ocean front million dollar views but they pay a hefty price if they get swept out. The tigers here keep the oceans clean but are a force of nature to be respected, just like the ocean. Aloha!

these people didn't do anything wrong, and they didn't bait the shark. the cow would have gotten eaten any way, they were just lucky enough to see it happen. all in all the tour was one of the best i have ever been on and recomend the zodiac tour to anybody. saw dolphins and whales all day and learned lots of interesting things. first class crew was really friendly. and for the record i would have loved to see this happen on my tour. not many people can say they've seen a shark eating a cow.
in all honesty i was just in kona, hawaii and was on this tour. it is a whale watching tour, where you go out on those inflatable navy boats. he told me the story of this shark eating a cow and told me to look it up on youtube. the side of the island has about 300 foot cliffs on this side. the cow got too close the edge and fell. current took him out to sea. the pictures of the shark there. the one guide actually jumped in the water with the shark. no cage or anything.

I think they're referring to the cow as a 'sea cow', aka dugong, manatee. They are quite commonly taken by tigers. Interesting to see another one with its upper caudal fin missing! Nice video.

If you look closely at 0:41 you can see the shark is missing a part of it's fin.
Sharks can handle a LOT of injuries.
some tigersharks lost their back fin when they were young and managed to grow up to 4m and more.
There was a 5m great white with a damaged back (i read it was a genetical issue)

these people didn't do anything wrong, and they didn't bait the shark. the cow would have gotten eaten any way, they were just lucky enough to see it happen. all in all the tour was one of the best i have ever been on and recomend the zodiac tour to anybody. saw dolphins and whales all day and learned lots of interesting things. first class crew was really friendly. and for the record i would have loved to see this happen on my tour. not many people can say they've seen a shark eating a cow.

in all honesty i was just in kona, hawaii and was on this tour. it is a whale watching tour, where you go out on those inflatable navy boats. he told me the story of this shark eating a cow and told me to look it up on youtube. the side of the island has about 300 foot cliffs on this side. the cow got too close the edge and fell. current took him out to sea. the pictures of the shark there. the one guide actually jumped in the water with the shark. no cage or anything.

The cow was already dead before the tiger shark even got ahold of it. It was floating and wasn't moving except from the waves and movement from the shark. Do you really think it would be a flourishing tourist attraction if they just threw a live cow into the ocean to be brutally slaughtered? Doubtful.
