  • The problem with fictionalising stark facts is so apparent. Hilary resents the way that Thomas Cromwell has hitherto been portrayed as a villain or a pantomime character. Facts we have of him have been regularly raked, his character, personality, and psyche have become removed from us as his head was from his body. Hilary has the means at her disposal to conduct her own investigation and let us see him how she perceives him. She is struggling to see Thomas Cromwell through other people's eyes.

  • @mattyb1500 he's an amazing speaker. I went to one of his lectures at the Huntington Gardens in LA about 7 years ago. Very nice gentleman.
