  • they just put what ever on thier albums everything is top notch

  • love this album

  • scarily precocious except "sophisticated" is done killer queen style oops! john writes the most perfect groove!!!

  • I Like It I Like It!!

  • Even the Hits are great people... basmikiemike... TheAerochick13... But, you are quite correct... Who need's posers!?

  • Takin' one step forward, slippin' two steps back..

Love this song, easy going. Shakers!

  • You cannot resist to dance and sing with this song!XD

  • "You are oh, so, so sophisticated..." Just love that part.

  • I like the "latino" sound this song has. This song demonstrates Queen's versatile in musical testing. Really superb!

  • I like it, I liiiikee it....!

  • wonderful, lotta people don't know these songs they only know the hits

  • @internalpeaceseeker you'r right ,so sad to be with some peple who claim to be queen lovers..and than find out they only know the hits...I was at a roxy music concert......I was the only one who sang along every song and the public was stiff and quit.......than came love is the drug and every body started to sing and scream.....I went to the toilet and shaked my head.......I know how you feel......

  • @basmikiemike Ha, I know what you mean. Especially now that you've got all of these 13-year-old posers who try to like this music in an effort to stand out. You ask em' what their favorite Queen song is, "Somebody to Love"... oye.

  • @TheAerochick13 oh come on, dont say,''all these 13 year olds'' none of queens biggest hits are my favourites, mine are white queen(as it began), great king rat, brighton rock, good company and you take my breath away.I do not like their 80's era half as much, and i love their early 70's albums, especially, Queen , and Queen II.I'm 13,and people pick on me at school cuz they cant understand the beauty of queen and only listen to guns n roses, and thus they think, i dont know music. -.-

  • @JeffHardy619SuperFan I didn't say that all thirteen-year-olds were posers. I said that most posers were thirteen-year-olds. Gah.

  • @TheAerochick13 I used to like "Somebody to Love," but Glee ruined it for me. I like "Bohemian Rhapsody," but I typically skip over it now, an English paper I did on it burned it out for me (try listening to it for 2 hours straight).

This is a good song, "Don't Try Suicide" is just so odd that I like it, there is a lot of Queen that I do like.

  • John Deacon made great songs :) I love this song and mood

  • Queen invented bachata!!!

  • Rediscovering all the old songs that made me mellow as a teenager. This song, although it's about empowerment after a relationship also has all that beautiful guitar. The whole New of the World album is a masterpiece. Mind you, most of Queen's work was...

    Great stuff :)

  • Great album.

  • I was a real fan when I was a teen (when this album first came out).

I'd enjoyed their music a great deal but will never forget the moment when I was a kid, in my room, listening to this song for the third or fourth time and a figured out that Freddie batted for the other team.

Stay calm, people, I mean nothing bad and had no problem when I found out that the old boy putted from the rough.

Brilliant album. Cheers for the upload.

  • my first rock concert was queen right after this album came out... madison square garden 12/10/77....only losing my virginity and my first helicopter ride were just as exciting!

  • i love this song!! one of my faves!

  • you mean because he was happy when he did this?... listen to the wide range of talent here.....and i promise i won't ask your neighbors who you're doing... wish there was a pinhead-filter on this thing!

  • My older brother saw them on this tour and he still says it was best show he has ever seen and now we have seen most of the legends. I was too young for Queen but I loved thier music at the time and I missed seeing them live along with Marley.

  • Hate to be picky but the band 1st used synths on "The Game" (1980) not "Flash".Prior to this they were proud to proclaim on every album sleeve: "No Synths!"..but hey..who cares? Every Queen track is a masterpiece, synth or no synth.

  • They also put no synths also because people thought that some of the things they did wasn't done naturally.

  • great calypso SONG!

  • not my fav but well done

  • Great song..crappy sound quality on this video !!

  • Remember this album was released in 1977 and there were no digital tricks then. Queen didn't even use synthesizers (first time was on the album Flash Gordon), so everything that you hear was produced from scratch, literally!

  • That doesn't explain the gaps...and the crackling and scratching was never there on the original vinyl..i know..i have it.

  • Great song!

Brian plays wonderful this spanish melody!

    Roger ,too!

    Queen -Forever!

  • The spanish guitar part is actually played by John Deacon (the bassist) on this one. ^^

  • one of my favorite songs...

  • the only thing I noticed about news of the world album was that it didn't seem to be recorded as well as it should have. some tracks seem rushed.

(i am of course referring to the album itself and not the youtube tracks)

  • Taking one step forwards taking two steps back.

Best part of the song I think

    It just sounds catchy :D

  • best of the world

  • Loved this album and had no idea (as most in my part of the world when this album came out) of Freddie's sexual orientation.

Then I listened to this song for the first time and did a double take...."wait a minute...is Freddie gay?!" LOL!

Great piece of work, News of the World.

  • the song was actually written by the bassist john deacon.

  • In my opinion, this is their last good album. But I've got Yankee taste and, as it's pretty well known, after this album the stuff they did left the Yanks scratching their heads.

New of the World was their high point in the U.S. They'd even stopped touring there after "The Game."

  • @Arkady63 " Yankee taste " ; I have to use that term in a conversation at some point in my life.

  • what do you disturb?

    Freddie was Freddie!

    and get lost of him!

    gay-no gay????-stupid questions!

do I ask you how is your sex.-orientation?

  • Calm down...and let me explain.

People that I knew were pretty homophobic and would make fun of homos all the time. The paradox was that we all loved Queen and had never thought of his orientation.

Alot of us had to swallow our words when we learned that one of the rock stars of our generation was the very type of person we made fun of.

I never cared if Freddie was a poof. I just remember that this song was how I learned he was!

Jeez...you're knickers are in a twist.
