@blod587 No, A40's with the mixamp are probably the best you can get unless you get an amazing set of headphones and plug them into the astro mixamp. But get the astros. You will not regret it.

@GermanFoggy You get Tosslink optical cable, an xbox voice cable, a mini to mini cable for an mp3 player, USB cabled, and an adaptor regular headphones. You DO NOT get foam dampeners anymore. Also they are listed as a $10 option on their website however if you read the posts on the forums they have been discontinued along with the hard shell and are no longer coming with nor even an optional purchase.

If your looking for sweet sound go for it but if your looking for improving your game dont bother you see you can hear everything so you can heer people around you. And also its very difficult to setup you can barly call it wireless and the chat audio isnt as clear. To be honest with you im just sticking with my turtlebeach x11 as there only 70$ and are alot better for gaming hardcore.

Maybe you got a defective one but my Astro A40s are hands over heels better than any Turtle Beach headset I have used. By the way, headsets don't improve your game whatsoever, they improve your experience. Having a slight audio advantage over your opponent doesn't necessarily mean you will become better.

@MischievousIQ just to let you no astro are designed to have low base because what happens is what happens when you have loud base is it cancels out the treble or is very hard to hear the treble, now the treble is in games like call of duty is the footsteps or the reloads. so there not gona have loud base when you buy this to soundwhore, you want base go get turtlbeach x41 for there base boost or tritton AXPRO

@littlebigcreations I bought the dpx21 and I regret it as they are of terrible build! The DSS unit is good but the headset broke within a week of hardly any use. The boom mic, the mechanism broke inside the headset to keep it where you want it so the mic stays all the way down or all the way down behind your head. Then the cord in the left ear, whenever that's moved a deafening noise happens due to dodgy wiring. The ear cups are good for around 1 hour then get really sore. Don't get me wrong th

@Rodrigoxki Trittons are more sturdy. Turtle beaches may hurt due to the earmuff being so small. also TB break really easily. If you have small ears and you got somewhere to hang the TB without them being in danger than TB due to lower price. Trittons if you want something sturdy that will last pretty long.

@Rodrigoxki i do prefer Trittons over Turtle beaches i had to switch from TB to Trittons due to the fact that one day upon coming home when i went to pick up my TB a very very small screw flew out and the entire headset soon fell apart. Upon that happening i had called TB to ask for a repair and they stated their warranty does not cover broken headsets. I had a few issues with my trittons so far but they have quickly repaired them. I have had the AX 720's for over a year now, and they just now.

@Rodrigoxki shorted out due to the cable being stripped. i take full responsibility for that happening due to the fact that i was in the hospital for over 3 months and was constantly pulling the headset so it could reach across the room. other wise they should still be in good use now. Trittons are being sent in this week for repairs so i can tell you if they are as good with repairs as are with sending in replacements.
