  • Mike: Today is tuesday ..

    Wonka: ಠ_ಠ !

  • They sound like the Mike Curb Congregation.

  • 1:16

  • Ever think of hoping the gate to fucking help her? XD

  • Awesome song in a awesome and very underrated movie.

  • This veruca is a brat, but shes nothing like the veruca in the Gene Wilder version!

  • no wonder veruca's spoiled! if u live in a rich place already then just go with the flow and stop acting so spoiled! she got what she deserved!

  • Keys:

    1 for -inerator

    2 for AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

    3 for unlocking the gate

    4 for yellow dudes

    5 for "garbage chute"

    6 for Wonka head bobbing

    7 for "-eeeelllll"

    8 for dad can't look

and 9 for dude staring contest with squirrel

  • OK, so I watched this some time ago and made comments on Wonka's fake key search. Now, however, I can't find it. If somebody could point out where that is that would be AWESOME! Thanks!

  • @0:56 and pause lol

  • @GoBeccaCham English isn't your first language, is it?

  • I watched it when they showed it on ABC a couple of weeks ago and they cut this song down. I think they stuck in subliminals, because I've been buying chocolate a lot since I saw it, which wasn't the case when I watched it on DVD. The Roald Dahl songs from the book combined with Danny Elfman's music are so much better than Leslie Bricusse's "Ooma Looma doopity doo."

  • i used to feel bad for veruca, but now that I'm older, I watch this over and over with pleasure as she plummets to her death. (shut up, she's dead!)

  • @spoojing she didnt die... o.o

  • @LeoTekkenfan I don't care what they show at the end of the movie, they all die. Lemme enjoy this...

  • @spoojing STFU they didn't die.

  • I have alot of respect for Tim Burton for having the guts to tamper with a film and story so widely revered as CATCF. Had there not ever been an original film with gene Wilder, people would not have come down on this as a hard as they did. i personally like it. I feel it was more true to the book and it's dark, yet tongue in cheek undertones. I feel Dahl would have liked it too.

  • This film is creepy now I think about it...

  • When I first watched this movie, I was kind of creeped out by how dark and weird each kid disappears. But a few years later, i've grown to enjoy the movie more and I can watch it over and over again (even though my parents don't really care much for it and like the original better)

  • WONKA: To the incinerator. Don't worry, they only light it on Tuesdays.

    MIKE: It IS Tuesday.

WONKA: Shut up, you little asshole.

  • I feel sunny everytime I hear this

  • 10 people were thrown in the garbage chute.

  • It's like they are singing because it's like she died...

  • Funny how Wonka is sad when he opens the gate. Normally he laughs.

  • Wauw. You shoulden't think Johnny Depp was Jack Sparrow when you look on him here. xD

  • @GoBeccaCham At first when i first saw this, i thought the person who was playing Willy was Michael Jackson, (R.I.P).

  • I think its wierd how he gets the correct key AFTER she went down and then locks the gate AFTER her father is in the room. Nice Willy.

  • sounds like the Beatles wrote this in 1968! Sweeet!

  • @ChineseOpera8 I was going to say the same thing!

  • Love Wonka's expression at 1:05. He knew exactly which key would open that gate. x3

  • Best song in the movie, I love how the squirrels watch in amazement during the performance.

  • thats amazing how much mind-linked the oompa loompas are...

  • 1:28 gotta love willy wonka's creepy smile

  • Damn, when I first watched this movie, I hadn't noticed how... dark this movie was (not quite sure if that's the right word to describe it, but you get the idea).

Then again, I was still pretty young back then.

  • @dav666777 i feel exactly the same.

  • @dav666777 Hopefully I can feel your pain sooner or later

  • @dav666777 I get what you mean, i was 8 when i saw this movie (I watched the movie 2 years after it was released, and i'm 12 right now). But still, i get what you mean.

  • @dav666777 I believe the word you wanted instead of dark was grim, as the movie is quite Grim^^

  • @krisier2 Yeah, thanks.

  • @mooksm45 true but this version tried to be closer to the book and that song wasn't in it plus it probably would've made this one seem too similar to the other version

  • Mike teavee and Veruca Salt had the best song :D

  • @smallpoo22newer Yes, but in scene-song were the best charachters Augustus Gloop and Violet Beauregarde.

  • Johnny Depp is amazing. He just is. He's like this big, person of amazing. He doesn't have blood. He has AMAZING. Okay?

  • I want a party with roomfuls of laughter

Ten thousand tons of ice cream

And if I don't get the things I am after

    I'm going to scream!

I really wish she would've sung this song!

  • veruca got pwned by a set of SQURILLES!

  • and its on at 5:30 on channel 244 9/6 2011

  • again.......theres a thing called KARMA and GRAVITY

  • Joe: In the end Mr. Salt got what he wanted.

    Charlie: What's that?

    Joe:Veruca went in first.

  • She was a bad egg/nut

  • 3:19 THIS...IS...SPARTA!!!!

  • he totally knew what key was the right one...!

  • @SuperBearcreek i know!! he knows exactly what he's doing with each kid....traps them in their own greedy desires :D LOVE Depp SOOO MUCH in this!!!

  • 8 people didn't like the video.

  • If only I can throw my little sister down a hole . . .

  • why can the squirrels push the oompa loompas?

  • This is my favorite song of the film

  • Ha Ha!

    Sucked In!

  • sure it's funny how the dad gets pushed into there, but i still find the original more funny since he actually jumped in voluntarly

  • @SmashLiXs in the book he accidently falls in

  • @ariah98 no, the original MOVIE.

  • @bentkitty100 my point is that in this part is more accurate than the first movie, and was i talking about the movie? no i am not.

  • Squirrels: "Jeepers, that was a BIG nut! Let's get back to work."

  • Comment removed

  • This is absoluteley my favorite song!! :D

  • epic movie! <3

  • I love how at 1:28, Wonka has that weird look.

  • why do I have the feeling he knew which key it was?

  • @222steiny Because he does.

  • OH NO!!!!!!!!......... the furnace is broken! D:

  • @Caiaphas18 He was great in this movie. He looks too old to be Veruca's father though. He looks like he could've been a grandpa not a dad. He's still great in this movie though.

  • i like how they changed from "the little brute" in the book to "little Brit"

  • @YisGoodman they didn't.

  • @bentkitty100 sounds like though

  • @YisGoodman yeah i know. weird

  • @YisGoodman they didn't...

Listen again they say "The little brute".

    :D

  • Anyone else find Willy Wonka strangely attractive?

  • @TheGaGaFan96 Lolzz, well Johnny Depp acted as him!! What you expect?? XP XP

  • 3:04 ok that squirrel is cute

  • when veruca goes down the chute it like a carnival called the ( super shot) start off low, then when u drop it goes fast.

  • at 0:39 to 0:44

that should be a disney world ride down the chute. like the seats are on a giant plastic veruca :P and then in the end you land in a giant pile of garbage, so its a ride and a giant trash can :P and in the begining too, when shes being carried across the floor, then you go backwards! :DD

  • @MrKale455 hell the whole factory would make an awesome theme park.

  • i felt so sorry for her.

  • Yes.....because a human being can't fend off a few rodents

  • @Cpt50Caliber LOL i could XD

i bet she was too bratty to even try o_O

  • 2:18 fave part. Squirrel says you go bye bye. XD

  • 2:57 is my favorite part.

  • this one actually has stuff that was in the book which is wh its better

  • She fell in the garbage chute grows she will be stinky eww

  • @stlgtrace

Well considering that the first one was, and this was admitted by the director, a way to sell the candy bars that came out the same time as the movie did and the author of the book stated that the first one was a disappointment not capturing the true dark humor and the widow saying the Depp/Burton remake was spot on, I would have to say, You suck and your opinion doesn't matter :)

  • it´s the best song from all

  • i like the newer veruca salt version with the squirrels i like btter but i like the older movie better

  • 2:09 watha the hel my daughter went down that pipe

  • Comment removed

  • the squirrels should devour that brat...

  • the squirells are adorable.

  • in the first willy wonka, mike teevee was the younger looking & sounding one, and in my opinion, veruca salt looks and sounds like the youngest out of the group in this 2005 version. like if you agree

  • you have to listen it in spanish ;)

  • at 0:13 willy wonka goes a bit dark there, like evil:

Mr Salt: "where are they taking her?"

Willy Wonka: "where all the other bad nuts go, to the garbage chute."

He sounds a bit evil there

  • The end is great. Bout time the parent got what he should for spoiling his child.

  • this is my favorite song in the movie...i loved the way it is composed..indian classical + western melody

  • I Love this one, this is my favourite of them all

  • Tim Burton is one sick puppy - that's true. But Roald Dahl was more than a little off himself.

  • I'm feeling like dancing with them around the chute. I just have to learn the coreography

  • I like how Wonka doesn't give a shit about the kids, he just listens to the song.

  • @poggymoose Seriously! lol

  • @poggymoose i know!!!

  • @poggymoose tru!

  • @poggymoose i kno rite?

  • Lonesome Rob, that's exactly my thought. The Byrds. lol

  • Geezus. Johnny Depp really made Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka into a sociopathic narcisist with devoid of any social responsibility toward others.

Johnny modeled Willy after, of all people, Marily Manson... I think he got him confused with CHARLIE Manson!

I could easily see Depp's W. Wonka storing the bodies in a new candy invented by him!

    (Fried Green Candied Tomatoes anyone?)

  • Damn, how fun it would have been if Pop had punted one or two Oompa-Lumpa's down that shoot!

  • i hate bad nuts

  • why do some of the quirrels not go down the shoot too

  • ICH KENE DISEN FILM IN DEUTSCH! SUPER

  • JA TIBA LUBLU

  • Anybody notice the resemblence to this song to the Moody Blues song, The Voice

  • How did they clone 1 oerson 50 times

  • How did they clobe one person 50 times?

  • @darpop220 using modern computers and many layers

  • This film was more accurate to the book especially the ending where they all come out like they do in the picture in the film but i have to say the boat ride and the other things in the old one are my fave <3

  • this is sort of trippy...

  • seriously wonka? your DANCING? well, I thought you'd be worried about that girl but NOOOOO

  • towards the end many oompa loompas in the background or still as it was just a picture, completely frozen. I think in this movie it was one person cloned 50 times

  • I am just like Varuca!I ask for everything nearly!

  • I love Veruca's fate song; it's got a nice Byrds

    -like feel

  • Tim Burton's mind...woah, it's fucked up...

  • veruca is soo bad

  • Tim Burton is fucked up... Just throwing that out there...

  • i like how her father just stands there and watches her get thrown down

  • This modern version is sooooo lame...

  • This song is so great when your high. It sounds somewhat psychedelic.

  • Is it wrong to call her FEAR FACTOR? Basically, in the end, fear wasn't a factor for her either since her and her father left covered in garbage. She had to fear for her life when the squirrels dragged her to the garbage shoot.

  • 2 people are bad nuts.

  • omg she does look like tim curry

  • Am I the only one who thinks the new Veruca looks a bit like Tim Curry?

  • love how the oompa loompa's are singing in a 60's-70's type of style lol. i love this movie. watch it all the time

  • l0l willy wonka looking for the key

    here is is!!!

    here is isnt

  • Michael Jackson lives on terrifying Children!

  • How do they get a picture of dear old mom? Lol

  • Haha Wonka's face when he opens the gate to let Mr Salt in! He's like, "Yeah...go try get her out..."

  • 0:26 is like mike says ''But today is Tuesday" lol and btw veruca salt looks like my causin that is lazy ***** stars!

  • SQUIRELSSS :)

  • at 0:46 all the squirrels are like" back to work" lol

  • hmm i always thought a veruca was a type of wart that grew on the bottom of your foot, HA.

  • antnono707 they crack her open and its not Willy Wonka anymore it Attack of the cannibal squirrels!

  • I love the song in 1:51

  • I love this film! It's waaaaay better than the old one. Plus, Veruca's my favourite and when I saw the old film and saw there were golden gooses instead of squirrels, I almost threw up! Roald Dahl wrote squirrels not golden gooses!

  • lmao pwned

  • I prefer this Veruca over the old one...this one I can tolerate...the old one I just wanted to slap the brat outta her

  • What if unused character Miranda Piker was in the movie?

  • The 2 who disliked this were veruca and her dad.

  • @SithArbiter1157 3.. her mum too

  • @SithArbiter1157 4, everyone in the god damn planet

  • The 2 people who dislike this were put down the garbage chute.

  • i always feel so sorry for the dad

he spoiled her because he couldn't help loving his daughter so much

i know its wrong but its so sad....

  • Its Scary going On Back Head First down a garbage chute

  • I'm doing a play for Willie Wonka using the original song but the squirrel idea.... Honestly I like the Gene Wilder version better.... Johnny Depp's is a little twisted.

  • 2 Veruca Salt fans dint like this!

    GTFO Haters!

  • 0:39 YOU GOT PONED BAITCH

  • Veruca Salt, the little brute, Has just gone down the garbage chute. And she will meet, as she descends, A rather different set of friends. A rather different set of friends, A rather different set of friends. A fish head, for example, cut This morning from a halibut. An oyster from an oyster stew. A steak that no-one else would chew. And lots of other things, as well. Each with its rather horrid smell. Horrid smell. These are Veruca's newfound friends
  • That she will meet as she descends.

    These are Veruca's newfound friends.

Who went and spoiled her, who indeed?

Who pampered to her every need?

Who turned who into such a brat?

Who are the culprits? Who did that?

The guilty ones, now this is sad

Her dear old mum and loving...dad.

Deep Roy (the guy who plays all the Oompa Loompa's) has an awesome voice! I love how he says the line about the fish!

  • Comment removed

  • The best part about this Wonka is the fact that he CAN save them, but chooses not to...:')...

  • @SlasherLink119 HAHA! I noticed that! He just watches and purposely wits till she's already gone down to pull out the key!!

  • Nice black shoes and white socks Veruca.

  • 2:23 and 1:49 - 1:58

  • I really love the character of Willy Wonka.

    He's lovely

  • i appreciate the fact that the oompa loompas had a portrait of Mrs. Salt.

  • They succeeded in making that story even more of a trip

  • I like it how they sing to the dad in this one, cos its his fault

  • Willy Wonka ♥

  • his face at 1:07 -he knows whats going to happen

  • there would be no point in her even being there thats the point all save charlie were spoiled ill mannered kids with no sense of right and wrong in away they almost embodied the seven deadly sins Augustus gluttony Violet Pride Veruca Greed and Mike Wrath or something to that effect
