Lasers was done for a long time but Atlantic pushed it back for a verrrrry long time because it wasn't "commercial" enough, and was forced make the album pop-hip-hop. For numerous cases an artist has no say at the end of the day on what he/she writes because they dont have creative freedom

@MusicReliable Some people aren't so close minded. I listen to music to alter moods and give me something nice to listen to. While say you might not like Soulja Boy (I don't) it doesn't mean he's bad, it just means you don't like him, other people have opinions. Not everybody thinks the exact same as you, and if they don't agree with you it doesn't make them any less of a human being.

@CMCAVS I like to compare Kendrick to Yoda. Calm most of the time, but when he wants to, he goes beserk and outshines everyone else in the game. Kendricks flow is immenent, the beats are wonderful, his lyrics are golden. Rare to see such stuff from a 23 year-old. Can't wait to see what he will bring us in the future.

@tjmack010 Not another one of these lupe fanboys, i love lupe, he is amazing, but people need to stop overrating him so much, lupe is obviously a much better rhyme schemer and his wordplay and metaphors are amazing, but the lack of content and consistency in his music is what brings him down, if he continually dropped albums like The Cool and Food and Liquor he would be the best in the game, but he doesn't....Lasers was week, so as of right now Kendrick is definitely better, just talking truth

The record label forced him to make a more pop sounding album so he can generate sales. Lupe is VERY consistent when it comes to quality music fyi. So get your ears checked and yes he's the best.

@MrXxZeldaxX17 That sounded real good and all but its not factual. Lupe's content is above most of the rappers out here. Consistency comes with the demand of the label that you are signed under. Lasers was done for a long time but Atlantic pushed it back for a verrrrry long time because it wasn't "commercial" enough, and was forced make the album pop-hip-hop. For numerous cases an artist has no say at the end of the day on what he/she writes because they dont have creative freedom
