ok i got everything up and running but i can only access it from the ftp source computer(the computer that is transmitting it.

how do i get it accessible from any computer throgh the web?

typing the custom ip and my adapter ip didn't work

I have tested this FTP program for like 6-8Hr's testing all kinds of settings, and i must say its one of the best FTP server program i have ever seen (that is free with no restrictions) i really recomend this FTP Server. I dont know if you can get it portable tho, but it seems that the user settings is stored in the install folder so.

it is a File Transfer Protocol server. FTP is used to upload files to websites and for file sharing (via public ftp servers)

@Shadower856 the internet i'm (my school) using has blocking software on it so certain things i can't access. if i made an ftp server would that mean i would bypass all of the blocking? if not then how would i go about doing that? (not using proxies).

course. no-one's got the right to stop you from having any sort of server (as long as nothing to do with it is pirated). the software used is free.

yeah that means your ISP blocks the common ports. most ISPs do this so only business connections can run servers. this sadly includes mine.

That's looks like a very good tutorial but im unable to read what you write and exactly where you click because we can't read. May be you should just add text in the vid that tell us where you click ex: add user, edit path...

I got a message from 'jabjab1234' saying this: "Hey, I downloaded it and I made a server and all, but I was just wondering why the I.P. 127.0.0.1 works when my I.P. is something completely different ? Is that just the default I.P. or something ?"

I'm posting this not to make fun of him but to help every1: 127.0.0.1 is the I.P. for localhost which means even if ur ISP blocks port 21 ur internal network and ur comp can access ur ftp.

Yo man can you make the same video but this time a little closer and slower ... because on this one you are clicking everywhere too fast and I am sure that its hard for everybody to see where are you clicking because you need to zoon in where you clicking and again do it slow so everybody can see .
