one thing that i hate is when people buy yellow labs as puppies because they are so cute but when they get bigger the owners give him/her away because they are too much to handle ....... but yellow labs make good companions young or old ... they are the best breed of dog ..... mine is named lucy and she is 7 years old!!!!!

We have two Yellow labs and coloring does have to do with how a lab acts..sometimes..giggle

but anyway one of ours, the mother, has seizors and we just give her a little sugar water and hold her and she snaps out of it really quick..you can tell it scares the shit outta her though.. Shes so precious and its so sad to see her sad..so i usually give her a bone and her daughter takes it away from here and then give her the other one..doesnt make sense

i had a yellow lab. she didnt have seizure. She died yesterday of old age :( its left me depressed and crying. She was 12 and 1/2

yeah my yellow lab died at the age of 12 1/2 too. i cried all the weak, the weak when she was going to be put down, she had fatty tumors growing inside of her that was killing her. it was sad, but i'm sorry for you to, even though this was a long time ago. :)

Fully grown they're a medium to large dog. A friend of mine had a yellow lab that chewed up part of a wall inside of her house, starting at a corner of the drywall. It wouldn't stop climbing over the fence in her back yard, and it would try to drag you down the street if you walked it on a leash. They can be energetic, very physically strong, and possibly have a short attention span. If that's the case, it would have to be trained.
