i have tried this by a friend with 3 monitors it looks cool but soz eyefinity doesnt work lol if you look right ahead u cant see sharp on youre left an youre right so u can only see a skim and in call of duty u are already dead if you see the skim blinking in ur eye
The key is to look at the date when this system was installed. Yes this is becoming easier to do TODAY. But this system was built 4 years ago, and at the time it was the highest resolution display in the world. 30 computers. 100 Megapixels. 20 gigabit network, dual 1Gigabit NIC. Nvidia Quadro FX3000.
@TheAwesomeBart i think the benefit of so many monitors would be having different ones doing different things on the fly rather than dragging windows around or what not.
yeah, I know... I write faster than I can think :P
I remember the setup they use in a television studio, it was really nice, one projector was projecting the 5 cameras + preview and program and the other was showing something else. But the 1980*1080resolution a a consumer projector. Professional projector is another world. Have a look yourself
and, now that I think about it, if this was made to be looked from a distance of 3 inch, then 20 monitor will be better, but once you get a distance of a couple of feet, you won't be able to notice the diffrence between a monitor and a projector. My two cents. Maybe they build a giant screen using the one they already had. Don't want to take their credit out. The result it awesome
a projectors max output these days is 1080p. which is 1920x1080 resolution. so its a huge screen, but everything ON the screen is huge as well. say you're running even just 10 24" monitors, EACH of which puts out 1920x1200 resolution. ONE of those monitors alone is better than a 1080p projector.
your a winging thing mate. get over it. a projector would nor be the same. what projector is that size. i know you can buy large pro pojects. BUT not that size.
But however, with projector you can get pretty big screen, bigger than this one. Have a look at barco or Christie's sites. I don't deny any of the work this guy done. The result is really nice. Depend on the application. If screen need to be seen from close than this setup win, if you need to get a coule of feet away to see it entirely, than you won't really be able to see the difference. ;)

I don't understand. A projector would do the same thing, less trouble, only need one output
