@jeff1701d17 nonono... Involving square enix would be mistake number 1. I do agree however that another arcana should be made. wether its a really improved upon remake (longer, better maps, better exploration but same gui) more story, improvements on party and spirits), a sequal, or a whole new game. any would be very loved
Not a lot of people got too far into this game~ it's brutally difficult with some flaws in the UI. Nonscrollable maps are a real bummer in this game. I've struggled to get far into it, and without maps those dungeons just don't fuck around. A major grind fest, but one with heart. Lots of heart.
@strikerk I never found it too difficult-- it's a lot of fun though. I've beaten it several times and still trot it out now and then to enjoy. The disappearing maps are only kind of annoying in the ice dungeon because it has several levels you have to go back and forth across.
This is a game that should be released on the Virtual Console. I remember renting this game and then searching everywhere for it months later (this was before eBay and all that, and after it had gone out of print)... I think my dad was finally able to get it by buying it from the rental place and paying extra... I never knew how much and never asked, but it made this game even more special for me. I love everything about it, and I'm sad we never saw another one like it. :)
Man... i hated this dungeon, so long and even with the map its so easy to get turned around, The SNES needed more dungeon crawlers of the Arcana type.
why dont these pieces of art get recognized? This is a golden age for not only Video Game Music, but music in general. Thats bullshit. These tracks should be at least recognized in Video Game Communities.
@MR111111111112111111 These days, video games are trying to be more "blockbuster" and movie like. The songs are getting worse because the games demand throw away orchestral tracks. Good music can still be made for games, people just have to want to do it.
I love this song. It speaks to my soul, as would a kindred spirit or familiar place. It is filled with a sense of a huge dark and beautiful yet dangerous place, filled with struggle, where persistant ones become stonger after each victory or setback. It was perfect for the last level in the game.
Jun Ishikawa music brings color to video games no matter how dark or scary it maybe. Check out Alcahest if you guys get the time. I believe Alcahest shows how much time he put into his compositions. I LIVE FOR KIRBY!
Wow! I've never played arcana, as I was mostly a final fantasy follower back in the day. But I gotta say, this game has nice music & I want play this game now :):)
Back in the day, and even now actually though not nearly as much, I used to listen to this song for hours and hours on end. It's such a short song, but back then it stirred up so many emotions and images that I can't help but love it. I guess it really helps if you've played the game, but this is definitely on of my most favorite gaming songs of all time.
right from the start I knew it was arcana. Supposedly they made a second one to this game. This game was very good. some people probably wont dig it cause of the type of rpg it is. Either you dont like it or you do. Good game.
this soundtrack is awesome

One of those games you have to not move around so you can hear the whole track.

I think Hal made a good game. If thay ever make another one square enix should help make even better game of arcana.

This game is full of awesome music. Why can't the OC Remixers see that!?

@kurorisu5 because it's not from a Square-Enix game.

Arcana should be honored as one of the best games and music ever made.

This song is by far one of my favorites of all time; it's a shame that it's a very obscure game and very few know of it.

Finally, some love for this awesome soundtrack. The ending credits music still blows me away, over 15 years later. You fucking rule, sir.
