I'm going to make an inference. I've used Macs since early OS 9 and I can say two things about PC users. They generally haven't used a Macintosh for more than a day at most. They generally attack over zealous Mac users before Mac users attack them.
What I can say: People use the OS of their preference; and, that you don't generate a fan base for a company that is bad and nor can you say that millions of people are 'just stupid'. We like it for a reason.
Windows is better for Work and entertainment, progammers usually use a Unix platform of Windows almost never mac, there are more powerfull pc's so if you have the money you can buy an expensive one and get good performance on Video and editing software, entertainment obviously gaming, and Im won't get windows because it shuts down or starts up slower than Mac OSX, so Mac is great is you like payng 3 times more for old hardware.
do you know why the boot time is longer? BECAUSE MICROSOFT DID A LOT OF PROGRAMMING FOR BETTER OS... unlike mac which crashes 3 weeks after I get a new mac, and gets the rainbow cursor everyday.
Windows 7 is astonishing! I downloaded it from Windows7FreeDLXcom (replace X with . ) and put it on my own laptop, and it operates beautifully! My partner and i most certainly recommend you obtain it!

If you were to install a fresh windows and never install anything onto it, you wouldnt just randomly start getting corrupt dll's... It's the files that you put on the OS that screw it up.. Also mac os x only supports their hardware, for windows they can try and get as much hardware supported in the os but not all will go on, its up to the hardware manufacturers to make sure it works correctly on windows 7.. Windows isn't behind apple..
I have been doing it for about 4 years by the way. EVERY computer has the potential of crashing HOWEVER Apple is the only company that produces ALL their software to work specifically with THEIR hardware. Microsoft however uses A LOT of third party software developers which means MORE CRASHING! I see it every day, for example Microsoft internet explorer has been around for.....like 15 years and Microsoft STILL can't prevent that from crashing...LOL OSX will ALWAYS be more stable. Period!

I have personally ran recovery software on my previous macbook pro to get some pictures I had accidentally deleted just like you would on a PC....and as far as crashing bro I work on all types of computers daily for my JOB which means I probably see a lot more than you and have yet to see a Mac crash....

Also environmentally frendly so it doesn't have any harmful things to the environment. ALSO, when you compare hardware-to-hardware the mac is actually cheaper than a PC. Only if you build it yourself. Only one problem, if that thing breaks you have no warrenty and you will have to buy the computer all over again, which will cost MORE than a mac. See?
Not really, most hardware companies have at least a 1 year warranty, and the reason why an Apple computer is so high priced, is so they have money to replace your parts for free, when you just really payed for it, all at once, and to be honest, Apple computers employ the same hardware, a Core i7 is a Core i7 if it's of the same i7 series.

Windows out sources their software to be cheaper and allow more development, however they are more likely to crash because of this reason. They also use old technology when it comes to a lot of things regarding hardware and that is why Apple is better man. You can't deny that OSX is a more stable OS out of the box. Ummm, I can go out and buy a new video card, of my choice, and it have in dual, tri, and quad configurations, I don't see any Apple computer that can do that.

The only difference between a Mac and a PC is EFI/BIOS. You can legally load an EFI system (not from Mac) on a PC motherboard aswell. After that, you go to the store and buy OSX, and it natively installs on the computer just as it would on a Mac, you get all the updates and everything. Its all legal, all though I am not sure what you consider legit.
Why are you saying its illegal? You are buying the software, and they don't own any rights to the EFI, you are not stealing anything. You void the EULA from Apple which is not a legal document anyways, and by voiding that, all that means is they don't have to give you tech support, which you won't need anyways if you know how to put it on there in the first place.
For something to be legal or illegal it must be a law, the Apple EULA is not a law, it's an agreement, period.

In order to break a DMCA you must take and put forth a product or item, as your own, which is not done, when installing OS X on a non-Apple labled computer.
Actually, you can use a bootloader and install a original unmodified copy of OS X, but some people just get the OSx86 because they are faster.
I ran Leopard in VMware and I got about a half a minute boot, and a minute shutdown with Leopard only running on 1GB dedicated RAM.
To be honest, I never had problems with Windows ME.

boot camp runs games crappy & your mac parts are so overpriced, that all you can afford is an average pc which can't even get the games running. You can buy off ebay, a Dell Studio XPS 3.06GHZ, 6GB DDR3, 9800m GT in SLi, for $1800 Australian Dollars, and in australia, everything is overpriced where i live. ok first of all, sorry for this but the maker of this video is an idiot. since he ran the test on a mac. when you boot into windows from a mac the computer loads boot camp first, which takes time and resources. and BTW does not yet offically support windows 7. and the mac hardware is optimized for the OSX. so run that test on a PC with the same specs as the mac and then you will have result that is accurate

How much time have you spent using Windows 7? And a few seconds of difference booting up doesn't make an operating system "better." It just means that startup is faster. I am sure both operating systems are great.

If you were to install a fresh windows and never install anything onto it, you wouldnt just randomly start getting corrupt dll's... It's the files that you put on the OS that screw it up.. Also mac os x only supports their hardware, for windows they can try and get as much hardware supported in the os but not all will go on, its up to the hardware manufacturers to make sure it works correctly on windows 7.. Windows isn't behind apple..

I have been doing it for about 4 years by the way. EVERY computer has the potential of crashing HOWEVER Apple is the only company that produces ALL their software to work specifically with THEIR hardware. Microsoft however uses A LOT of third party software developers which means MORE CRASHING! I see it every day, for example Microsoft internet explorer has been around for.....like 15 years and Microsoft STILL can't prevent that from crashing...LOL OSX will ALWAYS be more stable. Period!

BSODs are mostly caused by RAM problems, most of the time, and I have not had a BSOD since Windows 2000.

@ddenns, have you owned a Mac? O, no you havent ok, well just a little fyi the defaulted way of emptying trash is non-secure which means that everything you delete is recoverable. I have personally ran recovery software on my previous macbook pro to get some pictures I had accidentally deleted just like you would on a PC....and as far as crashing bro I work on all types of computers daily for my JOB which means I probably see a lot more than you and have yet to see a Mac crash....

Scanned DMG files that are used on almost ALL applications for Apple are virtually virus proof! I didn't say that a Mac CAN"T get a virus but the chance is SO unlikely that Apple themselves does not even recommend running any type of anti-virus. PC's on the other hand can receive a virus just by clicking the X on a pop-up window WHILE running anti-virus.

If you want a long-lasting, quality laptop you buy a Mac. Apple actually creates software SPECIFICALLY and ONLY for THEIR computers. That = virtually NO CRASHING! PC blows and will always be behind Apple. Let me know when you can get a PC carved out of single, strong, lightweight aluminum. O, and a lithium POLYMER battery that can be recharged 1000 times! O, and a LED backlit screen AND keyboard. O, and product support from someone that isn't from India that speaks terrible english.

Well said. I'll back you up on this. Macs have programs specifically for apple and for apple only. So no crashing AND. NO VIRUSES! Also environmentally frendly so it doesn't have any harmful things to the environment. ALSO, when you compare hardware-to-hardware the mac is actually cheaper than a PC. Only if you build it yourself. Only one problem, if that thing breaks you have no warrenty and you will have to buy the computer all over again, which will cost MORE than a mac. See?

Not really, most hardware companies have at least a 1 year warranty, and the reason why an Apple computer is so high priced, is so they have money to replace your parts for free, when you just really payed for it, all at once, and to be honest, Apple computers employ the same hardware, a Core i7 is a Core i7 if it's of the same i7 series.

Windows out sources their software to be cheaper and allow more development, however they are more likely to crash because of this reason. They also use old technology when it comes to a lot of things regarding hardware and that is why Apple is better man. You can't deny that OSX is a more stable OS out of the box. There are more viruses written for PC. Period. Apple only supports stuff they sell and produce for good reason.

Ummm, I can go out and buy a new video card, of my choice, and it have in dual, tri, and quad configurations, I don't see any Apple computer that can do that.
I have Office as well, and Adobe, only the software I need though, which is After Effects and Adobe Reader, that's it.
Autodesk 3ds max is a Windows only application, and it's the CG application I use.
To be honest, Apple's software wasn't even #1 on top video editors, Cyberlink PowerDirector was.

Apple just went to Intel with OS X Tiger, with the Pentium 4.
I have my whole house networked wirelessly, all 3 of our computers can print to my printer, we can share music, videos, files, basically everything shown off at the CES Windows 7 beta demo.
Also, if Microsoft were to make a movie editor and/or music editor, omg, they would be copying, they stole from Apple, that's why Microsoft tries to steer clear of that bomb, heaven forbid MS release new stuff, it might be copied.

The only difference between a Mac and a PC is EFI/BIOS. You can legally load an EFI system (not from Mac) on a PC motherboard aswell. After that, you go to the store and buy OSX, and it natively installs on the computer just as it would on a Mac, you get all the updates and everything. Its all legal, all though I am not sure what you consider legit.

Why are you saying its illegal? You are buying the software, and they don't own any rights to the EFI, you are not stealing anything. You void the EULA from Apple which is not a legal document anyways, and by voiding that, all that means is they don't have to give you tech support, which you won't need anyways if you know how to put it on there in the first place.

For something to be legal or illegal it must be a law, the Apple EULA is not a law, it's an agreement, period.
EULA = End User License AGREEMENT
If I made a EULA, and you broke it, the most I could do was sue you for it, which is what Apple did to the OSx86 group, since they aren't selling it as their own, etc.
You fan boys are just mad, that people who don't buy into the Apple crap, have gotten OS X to run on machines other than Apple's.

In order to break a DMCA you must take and put forth a product or item, as your own, which is not done, when installing OS X on a non-Apple labled computer.
Actually, you can use a bootloader and install a original unmodified copy of OS X, but some people just get the OSx86 because they are faster.
I ran Leopard in VMware and I got about a half a minute boot, and a minute shutdown with Leopard only running on 1GB dedicated RAM.
To be honest, I never had problems with Windows ME.

@ sean1256, who cares if you can't do it legally, it still runs mac on a pc, plus i can have a cooler case, say, an i7 975 Extreme, maybe.... a GTX 295 & 16GB Ram (Mind You, On a PC you can have up to 192GB of ram in a single computer, unlike the overpriced Mac Pro which has Intel Xeon (PFFFFT) & 3GB Ram which can only be upgraded to 32GB (NOOBS).
I think i know which one i would choose. (I'm thinking of the PC for all you cool mac bumpkins (NOT!)).

boot camp runs games crappy & your mac parts are so overpriced, that all you can afford is an average pc which can't even get the games running. You can buy off ebay, a Dell Studio XPS 3.06GHZ, 6GB DDR3, 9800m GT in SLi, for $1800 Australian Dollars, and in australia, everything is overpriced where i live. I found for the same price off ebay, a macbook pro 2.4Ghz, 4GB DDR2 667MHz Ram, 8600m gt 512mb. HMMMMM..... which one. I think i know which one i would choose. (@ sean1256 Create Art, WTF!)

ok first of all, sorry for this but the maker of this video is an idiot. since he ran the test on a mac. when you boot into windows from a mac the computer loads boot camp first, which takes time and resources. and BTW does not yet offically support windows 7. and the mac hardware is optimized for the OSX. so run that test on a PC with the same specs as the mac and then you will have result that is accurate

It didn't take five minutes. It took a few seconds longer. Quit being a whiny, fanboy and lose your attitude of entitlement. I turn my PC on and use it everyday. It never made me cry having to wait a few seconds. Mac OS and Windows are both great and if you are too immature to handle a few extra seconds then maybe don't waste those precious moments posting comments on youtube.
