'Been a Petra fan for 30 years. Saw them in Atlanta in the early '80's. Petra, for me, has always been the music I go to when I'm feeling like the world has beat me down. "Godpleaser", "Adonai", "Let Everything That Hath Breath" and so on, always help me remember that though there will be hard battles ahead...the War has been won! Praise God! and Thank You, Petra!
Oh man...how I wish I could have seen this show. Would have been awesome. Was a huge fan back in the day, and still am today. Must say Im more of fan of GXVs voice than John Schlitt...still have all my Petra vinyls.
WAY WRONG auramatic77. My band played for Greg last summer and he killed every tune!!! I'm sure there are some electronics at work here (as with most ALL of the heavies) but I can tell you Greg can pull it off without them. NO QUESTION!!! signed Rick McCreight
My dad (Russell Hall) was the director for this concert. I sat in the back and watched him direct this, it was an amazing concert, and I got to meet them all!
I love these guys, too. I must say that there is some heavy, heavy vocal processing evident in this mix. No matter how good GXV's voice is, he sounds like a robot on this video. Plus, guys that old never sound like that. They sound experienced, but not clean. This is too clean.
@auramatic77 I have to agree, I never heard of these boys before, until I saw this on cable and it intrigued me how "piped in" the vox sounded. The tunes ARE awesome, as are the band non the less and I'm not really into this kind of stuff.
@Solar... church in South Texas had it in their Youth Group room. It is the same stage from BTS tour. soopah is correct.
Back to the Rock is the perfect title. Back to classic "Petra". Petra means rock.... remember? Also the message of this tour and album is to reach believers who may have lost direction and bring them back to the Rock
I was at this taping. There were backtracks and some lipsyncing to punch up tracks but Greg's voice really did not need it. Awesome show, excellent performance!
Man, rock on you guys still sound the same,, i wish i was there to wath it live This was grest and looks like they pulled out some of the old stage set up where do you guys keep this stuff, i was born in 1973 the same year petra started.. the stage set up looks like some of the old space ship guitar stuff, i think for memy favorite stage set up was with john slit with petra, Back to the streets i loved the truck street look,,if you got it keep rocking for Jesus i love what i am herring

@SOLARCELLS101 I think that is the same stage set from the Beat the System tour - it was sitting in a church warehouse for 25 years or something.

I was at that concert tour, and I think you are right, I had the same thought that I had seen that set before.
