Ok: imagine, you're a guy, you're back-owed over $14,000 in Georgia. From 2008 - 2010, Office of Child Support Enforcement had the case -> no consequences. Then case was privately pursued and some progress was made to where it was about $10,000 back-owed in Dec. 2010. Then 1 month behind, in Magistrate Court of Fulton County and they say they don't have the power to enforce. Then back in Superior Court of Fulton County and they won't enforce. Were writing 2012, this guy owes over $17,000.
When I met a my wife I was not already supporting her but when she left the gov said I had to support her. What part of the marriage contract was the divorce support clause granting a women un-married support. Unemployment doesn't last for life and ends once you get a new job just like women who move with another man and enjoy his income and assets + mine too. This is double dipping. Add in child support, court costs and attorney fees and it's extortion.

You both only split medical, dental, education, and the like. No more child support and no more alimony. By not support holding children hostage for money there is less incentive.

Thanks fathers are people too - I did dispute the referees findings and went before the judge. He reversed the referee finding and denied the friend of the court motion and granted my motion to impute the mother at the wages she quit her job from. I still have to pay but its much more reasonable than what it was before!
This is unbelievable with all the facts and findings presented here. This should be appealed I don't believe the Law is being ruled upon fairly. Talk with your attorney, or if you are Pro-Se you may wish to consider filing an appeal or going back and recusing this Judge from the case, seems to not be following RPCs.

The court was calculating his support based upon prior earnings. If you notice, that seal behind the bench, that is the seal for the State of Michigan. 15.4% unemployment. its preposterous that anyone should pay child support to anyone if the child(ren) are in a 50/50 custody agreement, where each parent is already providing food, shelter, etc. 50% of the time. how could that be justified? merely on the basis of who has what genitalia?

if that is the case you are the rare exception, and that is a great thing. and that is what you are supposed to do as a parent. As I said you should "want " to support them.. some parents do not. we have had issues with my sons support. and I end up paying for everything and the deadbeat gets to do whatever, whenever he wants. So when I see stupid comments made by others..it hits a nerve

Nittis, how do I not pay to support them? I have them half of the time. I pay for their clothes, health insurance, toys, food for at least the time they are with me and the fact is that I buy their new shoes for school, jackets for winter, etc. So am I not already paying for their support?

Thanks fathers are people too - I did dispute the referees findings and went before the judge. He reversed the referee finding and denied the friend of the court motion and granted my motion to impute the mother at the wages she quit her job from. I still have to pay but its much more reasonable than what it was before!

This is unbelievable with all the facts and findings presented here. This should be appealed I don't believe the Law is being ruled upon fairly. Talk with your attorney, or if you are Pro-Se you may wish to consider filing an appeal or going back and recusing this Judge from the case, seems to not be following RPCs.

With 50/50 parenting why is he even being extorted for one dime in the first place? Oh to keep the Court money machine rolling. Almost as bad as the man that was forced to pay several years child extort for an imaginary child that was never born until the woman finally got caught snatching a neighbors kid for her court appearance.

No, the father didn't refuse to secure employment - he was laid off and there were no jobs in the same line of work available - the mother on the other hand quit her job and was not searching for employment - so why is the burden on the father?

Thanks Eileen - you certainly didn't watch the video to see the issue was the child $upport after a father who has his kids 50/50 was laid off. The court was calculating his support based upon prior earnings. If you notice, that seal behind the bench, that is the seal for the State of Michigan. 15.4% unemployment. So what about this makes me a loser? What about having joint custody and being laid off in this economy makes me a loser? I have never objectified my kids - the courts do that for me

@gr8ra8s Hey buddy, don't you worry read up on things if you are a Pro-Se you may want to consider filing a Tort Claim that's purely anti-constitutional and well it isn't the law. The law allows them to take x amount of dollars max based on your income which is unemployment or even borrowed funds from family. They can't be taking more than what the law allows them to take PERIOD! That's a violation of their own law, so look up the max amount they can take or talk to your SEO, email me.

@gr8ra8s what i dont understand is why is it mandatory for anyone to pay anyone else "child support" when both parents share the kids 50/50 of the time.... if shared parenting is allowed because both parents are fit (as it should be) then both should equally contribute to that childs expenses while under their direct care... its as if men are always seen as a kind of atm... why not place equal responsibility on the female to get a job? what is the courts excuse for such stupidity?
