  • modern music in 18th century??yeah, totally realistic...dunno which asshole came up with that idea but it screwed the movie!

  • god i love this movie

  • Not a lot of people know this but..... The movie is spot on with almost EVERY SINGLE detail, and believe this or not Louis XV did ask if the dauphine had a nice bousum :P Exellent film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Marie-Antoinette : une icône, que j'illustre dans mon blog d'histoire.

Like "Racontons l'Histoire" sur Facebook !

  • 1:33 what is song? :O please

  • @InesMedinas9 The song is called : New Order - Ceremony (Original 7" Single Version)

  • @123seblav It's Joy Division's version!

  • I was in her bedchambers today! Beautiful palace!

  • "At 15 she became a bride" ???????? What a big mistake, she was born in November of 1755 and got married in May of 1770, which means she hadn't got her birthday yet, thus she was 14.

  • @glompxxgurl She was only 6 months from 15, and '14 and a half' probably wouldn't have looked that good in the trailer, it's not like they decided to say she was 10 when she married. I think 'big mistake' is a slight exaggeration - she really was closer to 15 than 14 by that time.

  • this is an excellent film.

  • This looks so cool! Anything with Ceremony by New Order has to be cool though...

  • amo la storia in genere

  • god how did this not get any oscar wins?

  • Never seen a commercial for this...

  • Doesn't she get her head chopped off at the end?? I ve seen this movie b4 I just don't remember it that well??

  • @liv4evergurl11 In real life she did, but the movie stops after her room was raided.

  • we're watching this in school next week :) WOOOHOOO for the sex scenes!!

  • The most visually intriguing movie, tongue-in-cheek, charmingly historically erroneous, Jamie Dornan (Irish model, plays Antoinette's love affair) makes my heart skip

Incredible, this movie to me is art

  • one of my favorites - just came from versailles!!!

  • @sasasa5ify I KNOOOW , That's what I was thinking ! It's sooooooooooo magical and beautiful

  • @ignaciomontecinos

    new order - ceremony (:

  • What is the song ? in the tv commercial DREAMS? i want the song? please.

    Thanks

  • La acabo de ver y me encantó ♥

  • one of my favorite movies of all time. Marie Antoinette was truly a character.

  • I like marie antoinette as well as the amazing movie who explains her life so well!!! I ♥ this movie!

  • Very Clever film..

  • haven't seen this movie, but it looks like they tried to make a rom-com out of the life of marie antoinette. i would like nothing better for this not to be the case, because a travesty of this magnitude would require nothing less than ritual self-disembowelment to repair.

  • @AwkwardTurtlev2 it's not. it's definitely not your typical "historical" film, though. it's trying to capture the youthfulness of marie antoinette -- the fact that she was just basically a kid when she was married and then eventually became a queen. you're put into marie's world as much as possible. it's extreme though(modern music, lack of focus on politics), and so a lot of people don't like it.

  • o actually didn't see in the movie the part of angry mobs running inside the versailles..

  • what is the name of the song at the end

  • Mops!!!!!

  • I like the song....it's cool :) Good beat to it....

  • That comment was offensive Im autistic thats no what that means!

  • What's the song

  • Its already streamin @ {{ Movies Ace , C0M }} for freee with a ton of other movies lol

  • is that a pug in the begginging?????

  • Looks like it

    Haha

  • A movie meant for the american teenager viewer.

  • Great!

  • this trailer shows like everything!

it is so stupid, lots of those quotes aren't in the movie at all, and several sounds different, another recording:/!

I think the portrait looks different too, her face is sooo pale.

this is my favourite movie I have seen it a million times:D

  • mmh? I just figured out 3 quotes which I don't remeber from the movie. It's normal in trailers - sometimes they use scenes which were cut from the movie later.

It's normal that the colors and sounds are different, because they make the trailers before the movie is 100 % finished.

  • thank you for information, I did not know; )

  • @JescGirl Random, but it seems like you love this movie like I do, lol. So, do you use Blu-Ray? Because Sony was supposed to release this on Blu-Ray in February 2007, but then pulled it, and released dumb movies in place of it. :/ So, I called Sony and they sent my requests in, but if we get more people to call, then maybe we could get it in 2011. I have the phone numbers if interested, just PM me. Thanks....

  • a really good and sad film with a bad end !

  • it was really fascinated

  • I never said he was gay i said i thought he was gay. Anyway I do read and i have been to paris and lourve so i no he wasn't gay he just seemed gay in the movie which made it funnier.

  • i thought the king was gay at first but i luved the movie and where can i find some of those shoes and cakes

  • They (Louis and M.A.) had 4 children and Louis was gay..... OMG !!!

If he had been straight how many children would had he got ? 200 ? 3000 ? 100 000 ?

You don't know anything about french history !!!

Please keep going boycotting us !! It's better like this !!!!

  • you have a point louis wasn't gay, but having children and marrying doesn't always mean someone is not gay

  • if I were you I Read : Marie Antoinette The Journey By Antonia Fraser the king it's not gay!!!!!

  • Kristen Dunst deserved an oscar nomination at least!! such a great performance in a great film...!

  • whats the first song playing?

    sooo good

  • Aphex Twin - Jynweythek Ylow ;)

  • Beautiful movie, it's my favourite!

  • Wonderful Movie.

I'd Like To VIst Austria Or France One Day.

  • @crayoncat232 If you visit France, you must go to the small part outside of France....Versailles, you can visit the palace where Marie Antoinette lived and her petit trianon.

  • very good movie

one thing though about it, the skipped one child! That was bothersome when I saw it...

  • Great movie......

  • oh i love that movie so much

  • love love love <3

  • Wait, actually I don't know the first song but the one that's playing when it says 'At 15 she became a bride" is Natural's Not In It by Gang of Four, and the one that starts playing when it says 'This Fall" is Ceromony by New Order.

    Sorry about the mixup!

  • Such a great movie! :)

  • first song, i must know that wonderfull song!!!!

  • The songs are:

    - First song: Natural's Not In It by Gang of Four

    - Second Song: Ceromony by New Order

  • DUNST ROCKS!

  • well done

  • I've studied the French Revolution fairly thoroughly and I didn't find it that historically inaccurate. It was perhaps a bit unspecific, it didn't refer to the Diamond Necklace Affair or anything, and it didn't really show how trecherous the Royal Court could be. But that was irrelevant. Its not as much about the French Revolution as it is about a young girls journey. I loved this film

  • Well, that is true that some facts were omitted however, think that if this movie can be a seed for someone to research more about history then I say it is ok. Let those watch the movie be inspired and not sweat over the small stuff.

  • Can you tell me what is the title of the second song in that trailer plz.

  • The second song of the trailer is the first version of "Ceremony" by New Order. There's another version that is slightly different, but i like this better.

  • @fernluvparis Hey, wondering if you would like this/help with this. • I'm doing a project for school and i would love to show this video. Is there a way I can save it to my computer so I can put it in my powerpoint?

  • That trailer makes it look like a good - if horribly historically inacurate film. If it is that good though (and I doubt it - it got booed at cannes) then I'll be able to ignore the inacuracies; like I was with Braveheart.

  • The costumes were absolutely gorgeous =)

  • Oh, I so agree.

  • Yes. After she bowed, the mob shouted, "Long live the Queen" because of Marie Antoinette's braveness and courage to step out to the balcony despite them threatening her:-)

  • Alas, it was robespiere cheney-like propaganda that led the french to civil war that tore the country apart. I love this movie so much...thank god they didnt show the ending...the first attempted flight to austria was tragic enough

  • I love the scene at the end of her on the balcony bowing to the mob. I read somewhere that she really did do that, and silenced the entire crowd just like the movie.

  • i already watched this movie! it was pretty good.. you know you could just typed the marie antionette biography and know more about her cause theres few parts from the movie =D

  • i'm not french, but if i'm not mistaken, marie antoinette was mentioned in our history class, is she the queen who was beheaded? this movie is interesting though

  • yah, she was executed and her government overthrew her and King Louise VII because they were spending like mad while their people suffered.

  • Not that it matters a whole lot, but it was King Louis XVI.

  • I was kind of disappointed they didn't put it in the movie, but I guess it would have been a bit...gruesome.

  • Not true. People viewed royal spending as the main cause of the economy being crippled, but in fact it was the governments involvment in wars that caused it. Louis and M-A's deaths were more of a symbolic end of the monarchy, they were killed to show France that the monarchy no longer existed. it would not have mattered if they had lived or died really, the revolution would have continued

  • Looks great to me

  • ahh this movie looks so good. i find the american accent a little weird though, with all the other cast members speaking in english ones .. although i guess it doesn't matter since they're technically supposed to be speaking french anyway ...

  • you know, i just realized jason schwartzman is in this film. haha.. like, duh. o_O

  • I love this film, I'm French and i've already seen it ... Sofia has done a perfect work ! But can you tell me where did you find the video of this trailer ?Please ... I want it so much, and I'm looking for it since many weeks ! Please ... Thanks you^^
