Gravity is also "just a theory", but there is no next stage of how proved something is in science than "a theory". However, evolution is also treated as much as a fact as gravity is.

I do partially agree with Anna though; Other theories should be taught, but not in a science class.

@adios012 Evolution is 100% demonstrable fact in the sense that bacteria and small microbes evolve when subjected to different conditions in the lab. The only reason the scientific principle can't be extended to life on earth over millions of years is purely political.
