Dying on stage though... Sure it sounds poetic.. But when your known for comedy.. The audience thought it was all part of the act and were laughing away. Can't blame them of course, also gotta be terrible being them, your having a great time you get a good laugh, and then bam you realize he's actually dead. And you weren't laughing at a silly antic but laughing at someone having a heart attack.
I'll do that again...(unfortunately my mistakes aren't as good as Tommy's). Take2 : I was up in the attic the other day with my wife; dirty, filthy, covered in cobwebs, but she's good to the kids. Gorgeous!
My apologies. I meant to click on the "thumbs up." There doesn't seem to be any way to undo it. Again, I apologize. I agree completely with your observation about Tommy Cooper, and I'm an American.
No - ITV quite rightly destroyed the footage soon after - so unless you know someone who videoed it at the time then you are out of luck - Why do you want to see that for anyway ?
Actually, good for him. As they said, "He died doing what he loved". He was very fortunate. If we could only choose to be so blessed as Tommy. He was probably the greatest at what he did and yes, we miss him dearly and envy him.
I went to Blackpool on holiday and knocked at the first boarding house that I came to. A women stuck her head out of an upstairs window and said 'What do you want?'. 'I'd like to stay here' 'Ok. Stay there'.

As much as I wouldn't want to see the footage myself, it's been leaked onto the internet.
On a positive note, it could be viewed as his "last performance" rather than a "death video". I would still hesitate to watch it, nevertheless.
