@duffdeluxe The collagen is converted to a gas which dissolves into the surrounding fluid and is carried out of the eye by the blood vessels of the retina. Explained in better detail at my web site
@Wallychans See my answers to these important questions at my web site. Some of the smaller ones can move to a more favorable position and become less noticeable. The larger ones will not. Depends on the size and density of them.
Apparently it's something almost every human being deals with at some point in their life, so by finding a cure or a way to help prevent them would be doing not just a few thousand people a great deal, but a large % of the worlds population... So why is there such a lack of research...? I've heard MANY people claim their floaters have deminished in size or faded from black to clear on their own, not that they just learned to ignore them and look past, but the floater ITSELF changed...
This says to me that there IS a way for floaters to naturally fade...If they fade all by THEMSELVES, im sure there's a way technology or medicines can either cure them or help our bodies naturally take care of them. So why are we not looking into this? We spend MILLIONS of dollars on lookin for a cure for health issues that so far have showed NO SIGNS of their even being a possible cure anytime soon, yet here we have a health issue that says "i can be cured" and we're not lookin for a cure?
@SRospieler Easy answer: The laser does nothing to the cornea or the lens. It passes right through. It only delivers energy where it is focused precisely - where the power density is concentrated.
@VitreousFloaterSolns Sounds good, but what are the complications ? I dont get it why doctors say you need to live with it and the only option is vitrectomy if this is a save or at least much better way to clean a huge part of it out without cutting something off the eye. If this really works save why does the knowledge about this treatment not spread around the world ?
PLEASE DONT FALL FOR THIS BULLSHIT.........I WAS "TREATED" FOR VITREOUS FLOATERS BY A "PHYSICIAN" IN FORT MYERS, FLORIDA. AFTER MY LASER TREATMENT SESSIONS........MY FLOATERS ONLY GOT WORSE
@daryldietrich Daryl, first of all you don't need to yell with ALL capitalization. Not everyone is a good candidate, and sometimes despite our best efforts some patients may not respond to a satisfactory level. This is true of every medicine and procedure in in the field of medicine. If you have an issue with your doctor you should contact him directly instead of posting negative comments on my video.
@VitreousFloaterSolns ok....dear Dr. I made a mistake in posting my comments on your youtube entry...I meant to post them to Dr Gellers (Fort Myers Florida). As there are only 3 opthalmologists in the entire United States that do laser vitreolosis treatments for "floaters", I made an unfortunate mistake by posting comments to your youtube entry..please accept my sincere apology. I will now do my best to post my experience with Dr. Scott Geller in Florida.
@daryldietrich Thank you for your apology and clarifying your position. Rather than deleting these comments and raising suspicion of selective editing, I'll leave them put because it does present an alternative viewpoint. I have stressed that not everybody is a great candidate. That doesn't mean that this procedure doesn't have great value to many others. It can be very successful with arguably very low risk. I encourage everybody to read all of my web site.
Email sent! I've been through your site numerous times and I have to thank you for the information. I am in my early twenties and until I've been to your website, I didn't know the facts about floaters in younger people. I've recently been to an eye doctor about floaters and I got the "Your eyes are healthy, don't worry" spiel. I certainly would like the opportunity to have a consultation with you if my ophthalmologist can confirm I have treatable eye floaters. Thanks for the hope!
@jblovloss Surprisingly, No it does not. The material is vaporized to gas bubbles or fragmented small enough to filter out through the eye's natural filtration system.

Hey easy question. If laser is strong enough to cut off the floater BEHIND the eye. What will it do to the cornea then ?

Does it make your eye cloudy since the material of the floater is liquified into the vitrious solution?
