In the Record Warp Launch tab of Ableton's preferences there is an option to turn on or off select on launch. You can turn that off and the track select will stay where you selected it through all scene launches.

thats awesome stuff man, but how are you launching clips from buttons that arent lit up? and how do you get them to launch by themselves like you have happening at the start? I gotta learn that shit!

@swabbo1 midi-mapped the channel scene launches to be horizontal instead of vertical. The re-mapped buttons don't light up until they are playing a clip.

for self-launching clips, google "follow mode" or just experiment with it (expand the "L" button on bottom-left of your clips)
