I enjoyed this. It is very true. While I personally do not like Twilight, and will never read the books again, I have nothing against people who find the books enjoyable. I even like a little wity banter about the pros and cons of the series now and then.
My only issue is with the obsessive fans, and people who have never read the books or seen the movies, but complain about them constantly. Everyone has a right to their opinion, please don't jump down my throat for it or I'll end up hating you.
I agree with you on this due to me having to debate with very belligerant superman fans when I give them a reason why i stopped being a superman fan and why several characters can beat him. While its not exactly the same debate that twilight fand and twilight haters have, the whole hating just to hate, insulting someone's looks regarding fans and haters, etc, are just about the same. And being a vampire includes, among other, obvious things, the need of consuming blood or life energy, intolerance or at least a strong disliking of sunlight and supernatural powers, like turning into wolves or mist. Meyers so-called vampires are nothing but over-sized fairies with a blood fetish. No more, no less.
I loved this video, it was funny and if you're a sane twilight fan, you can atleast see the humor in it. I'm a neutral twilight fan. The whole Bella and Edward bit sux. I agree with every thing you have except do compare them to fairy's please. Fairy's will kill you, quite brutally. The so called 'vampires' in Twilight are more like pixies who like to frolic in meadows and not attack anything.
I used to like Twilight until I saw they were coming up with a movie based on the book. I took one look at the characters that were supposed to be playing the Cullens, and it completely ruined it for me. Not to mention how the sudden rise in popularity made it a teenager's pop culture thing. I also tried to read Meyer's other book, The Host, but I couldn't get past the first half. Really, why would anyone, stay or defend a group of people who hate and try to kill them?
AWESOME!! Excellent point, portrayed in a comical way, anti-twilight...definitely kudos! I only made it through the first two books and I enjoyed reading them but they never rang true for me. After visiting the Anti-Twilight Movement site, I realized why. I don't detest the book, but I do hate the spectacle that's being made out of it, particularly when it encourages such dysfunctional relationships. The terrible values have made me dislike it much more than at first. Very dangerous indeed.
I don't exactly hate Twilight. It just makes me chortle at times ( and scowl, dry-heave and stare out in space because of braindamage, after reading book 4. I wonder how THAT is going to look in the movies.) I don't hate the characters- or at least, most of them- but I find Twilight to be...somewhat succesful fanfiction, containing a bunch of entertaining Mary-Sue's and Stu's. I think that it went downhill with New Moon.
I hate twilight because my idea of vampires are like Blade, Underworld, or Trinity Blood, not emo, over dramatic douche bags who glow in sunlight as opposed to painfully burning to ash. Then i have a couple of friends who like it and hate it when you say it sucks, so i say it to spite them. :P

I read the book (after seeing the film) and was royally disappointed.. Judging by all the hype around it I thought it would be really good and worth wasting time on it, but it really wasn't. To me the film was much better, maybe because of the atmosphere it created. Can't say the book (yes, I've only read the first one so far) was absolutely horrible, but definitely not something I'd want to read again.

I admit to being a twilighter and I still found this video funny. There are people who take there foundness for the books to far to extreme messures so I understand why poeple would be freaked out by them. I'm freaked out by them! I mean seriously have you seen some of the merch? And the stuff actually sells. *shudders*

How about Harry Potter gits, also? Another waste of money I saw is a "full size" replication of the assault rifle from Halo 3. My wife got her little sister a set of the 4 twilight buttons that were on clearance. :o) Not long before they are in outlet stores one can hopes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I saw this today and thought, hey, those were the stages I went through. Really, after reading it, I think every anti-Twilighter goes through a stage of Trolling and insane rabid Twi-hate. Then I saw some websites, read some reasons, and thought, hey I'm being stupid. These are awesome reasons, I should argue these and not just say Twilight sucks. One of my favorites is the Anti Twilight Movement. Anyways, thank you! Rock on, fellow opposer of suckish books!

I'm no twi-hard. However, why insult things like books and movies? Your only wasting your time, I mean, don't just ignore this comment because I'm interested as to what you will say. My point is, why do people have to argue about things like this when they are not even real. I agree, there are some people out there that are pathetic about it and sure they annoy me too. They do not fit into the catergory of vampires. Yes, they drink blood but... thats it. They are more like pixies or some other strange rip off vampire. That's why it annoys me. But, you are right, that don't have to be like Dracula, it's just not fair to call them vampires.

Seriously, even though every author has the right to make their own vampires, there still are certain guidelines as to what a vampire exactly IS. And being a vampire includes, among other, obvious things, the need of consuming blood or life energy, intolerance or at least a strong disliking of sunlight and supernatural powers, like turning into wolves or mist. Meyers so-called vampires are nothing but over-sized fairies with a blood fetish. No more, no less.

I loved this video, it was funny and if you're a sane twilight fan, you can atleast see the humor in it. I'm a neutral twilight fan. The whole Bella and Edward bit sux. Bella is a whiney, manipultive brat and Edward is cradle robbing, stalking, dominaring ass who sparkles. The backround character are cool, though. Anyway, I like the video, I thought it was funny.

I shall now point out almost all the faults in Twilight:
1) it's anti-feminist
2) it's very poorly written
3) The so-called vampires in Twilight seem more like over-sized fairies with a blood fetish.
4) purple prose and thesaurus rape.
5) It glorifies abusive relationships.
6) Bellas repeated suicide attempts in wossitcalled are NOT the proper way of coping wih a breakup.

I used to like Twilight until I saw they were coming up with a movie based on the book. I took one look at the characters that were supposed to be playing the Cullens, and it completely ruined it for me. Not to mention how the sudden rise in popularity made it a teenager's pop culture thing. I also tried to read Meyer's other book, The Host, but I couldn't get past the first half. Really, why would anyone, stay or defend a group of people who hate and try to kill them?

AWESOME!! Excellent point, portrayed in a comical way, anti-twilight...definitely kudos! I only made it through the first two books and I enjoyed reading them but they never rang true for me. After visiting the Anti-Twilight Movement site, I realized why. I don't detest the book, but I do hate the spectacle that's being made out of it, particularly when it encourages such dysfunctional relationships. The terrible values have made me dislike it much more than at first. Very dangerous indeed.

I don't exactly hate Twilight. It just makes me chortle at times ( and scowl, dry-heave and stare out in space because of braindamage, after reading book 4. I wonder how THAT is going to look in the movies.) I don't hate the characters- or at least, most of them- but I find Twilight to be...somewhat succesful fanfiction, containing a bunch of entertaining Mary-Sue's and Stu's. I think that it went downhill with New Moon.

I read the book (after seeing the film) and was royally disappointed.. Judging by all the hype around it I thought it would be really good and worth wasting time on it, but it really wasn't. To me the film was much better, maybe because of the atmosphere it created. Can't say the book (yes, I've only read the first one so far) was absolutely horrible, but definitely not something I'd want to read again.
