I remember the first time I fought Bouldergeist in SMG1, I had such a hard time, especially on daredevil run. Then, surprisingly, I was able to beat all 5 bosses on Daredevil run in SMG2.

@koolkingdomrules: That would actually be cool, but it would be even cooler if you battle all the bosses of SMG1 (and SMG2?), and see how long you can survive, including a online highscore which gives you higher points on how many bosses defeated, time used(less time, more points.),coins taken(less coins, more points.)

Of course, this is too late to suggest something for the game, because it is already released, but i am just saying what I think COULD be cool.

@mariosonicman1 No, you can only spin near the Bomb Boos to grab onto them. Then, you have to twirl the Bomb Boos into Bouldergeist.

Watching the new Dino Piranhas, I just realized something... Petey Piranha must be the biggest pimp in the Mario series.

I don't think that Dino Piranha SPAT fireballs, but he did cause them to spawn in some way. I believe his flaming tail caused them to appear.

I think there is a change in he amount of time it takes bouldergeist to heal his hands, I think it doesn't take as long.

I've a theory that World S had some of the first galaxies created in the game's production. It would certainly explain why a lot of it seems more oriented towards stuff found in SMG1 (boss rush, rolling course from hell, super fast cyclone stone, etc)

Actually, I believe that Fiery Dino Piranha always breathed fire, even in Super Mario Galaxy. It's what helped make his final stage so difficult.

Also, I was hoping that they'd make a harder version of Bouldergeist somewhere in this game, possibly made out of molten rock or ice. Wouldn't that make for an interesting and challenging boss battle. ^w^

The ironic thing is, the ISO name is "Super Mario Galaxy More". I personally don't think that this game should be $50, it doesn't feel like a new game, feels more like an add-on, though the wii doesn't really support add-on's. So, have you gotten all the green-stars?

@1stkirbyever The game was originally going to be called more super mario galaxy, or Super Mario Galaxy 1.5, but since they added so much new content into the game, and about 99% of it is brand new, they decided to make it Super Mario Galaxy 2. Also, I don't think this game feels like an add on, it feels more like what majoras mask was to ocarina of time.

No, the first Life Mushroom wasn't there in the first game. There was only a Luma telling you that you could pop lamps for coins if you lost any health.

I still find it funny that the last regular boss of Mario Galaxy is just a rehash of the very first boss. Book ends, anyone?

yes, the fiery dino pihrana did spit fire. Every one of these stages is an exact reincarnation of the originals (barring the bunny and the first life mushroom, which I'm not sure of too)

I was really hoping that this was not a daredevil run at the beginning; I literally beat all of them with all 6 health and then got mowed down by the fiery dino pihrana, losing 5 of my 6 life xD

I always struggled with bouldergeist, especially during the Daredevil Run in the 1st game. I also couldn't do Fiery Dino Pirahna without dying at least once, probably due to a lack of speed.

Oh, my goodness, Bouldergeist made the Speed Run star so difficult for me, because I always have trouble with it. I can beat Bouldergeist fairly easily, but beating him quickly is a whole other story. : o When I realized you could should star bits to break some of his boulders, I was able to make the battle go faster.

I am pretty sure the Fiery Dino Piranha did indeed spit fireballs, but only after being his twice, so during his final phase, thinking back that Daredevil challenge gave me a lot of trouble in the 1st game and so did the Bouldergiest version.
