  • sure tomuch tourist come for touching

  • Instinct is instinct right, what if it bite u

  • Its funny how these white ppl critisize the good work of tiger temple. The visitors are allowed to generate income to take care of the tigers... These tigers were orphaned at a young age and was given asylum here. they cannot survive in the wild.. So the weterners first worry about animal cruelty of KFC and animal slaughter houses and wipe their own crap first...

  • fu*k you Tiger Temple let the poor tigers go THERE IS ONLY 3% OF THE WORLDS TIGERS LEFT AND YOU KEEP THEM HERE SOO PEOPLE CAN JUST TOUCH THEM DX

  • We went yesterday and have to agree with the original posters. These tigers are absolutely sedated. It is really sad, actually. I'm all for their rescue and saving as many endangered species as possible, but these tigers are drugged throughout the day so that they will lay there and allow hundreds of tourists (yes, us included) to touch them and take pictures of them...

  • @MrCpocpo obviously you don't have the slightest knowledge about a tiger's diet: you can only enter after lunch because that's when they are full...and what happens when you're full? YOU GET TIRED AND SLEEP! gosh even in the discovery channel you see tigers sleeping around in the afternoon AFTER THEY EAT!!!

you're stupidity is insulting to mankind. go back to school!

  • a beautyful place where human cant Tiger touching

  • Google the book Behind the Cloak of Buddha: A true story of animal and human endurance

  • Google the book Behind the Cloak of Buddha: A true story of animal and human endurance

  • "dont visit this place?" Then how do we know that they are really drugged other than by your say so?

And is there any other proof than just having a "vibe" or a "feeling" that these animals are getting tortured?

  • @AevokyeMorro pls do some researsh..

  • when i saw "animal creulty" i thought they was beating them with sticks or poking them with spears , as it turns out , they just get petted , i see no creulty at all.

  • Allot of these tigers were rescued from the wild, after pochers killed their mothers, who would also kill them . They will have a better life ware thier at now, rather than an area ware they will be hunted until extinction .

  • How much Abouse is by the Tigertemple?

  • If there is no tourist, what would the tiger eat?

people? live stocks? at the end they would be killed by some hunters.

If you people are REALLY concern about this.. i suggest you do something about it not just come here and rant about someone who's trying to feed the tigers. But if your really concern, why not just donate some money to the place, and help lessen the trouble of having to put sedatives (if they did) on the tiger that was suppose to be amusing to tourist as yourselves.

  • I think you guys are the once who taken drugs. 39 minutes wasted :(

  • There's definitely something they put into the water

  • where is the cruelty?I think you are not very smart. You say cruelty to get more visits, you are poor stupid.Have you work in tiger temple??if dont say bullshit

  • Can you show what you're talking about?

  • As a result, the tigers suffer a catalogue of behavioural and physical problems, including lameness, skeletal deformities and stereotypic behaviour, such as pacing and self-mutilation. These complaints are further exacerbated by malnutrition and poor veterinary care.

  • Approximately 15 tigers live at Temple at any one time. Poor housing, husbandry and cruel handling are systemic throughout the facility. Far from being allowed to roam free, tigers are confined for 20 hours a day away from public view in small, barren concrete cages, measuring 31.5 m2 to 37.3 m2. This falls short of the published minimum of 500m2 for a pair or a mother and her cubs. Staff also routinely beat adult tigers and cubs with poles and metal rods.

  • Just read an article - authorities are trying to get this closed down due to illegal trafficking. A report has been released after a 2 year investigation. Details in next post

  • You believed in everything that these 2 guys said right? They just stepped in Thailand for hours, then how could they know every single of details. What about assholes circus in western world? they tortured those animals for your fun. ถุยยยย ไอ้พวกทุเรศแล้วมาว่าพระว่าเจ้าจะตกนรกไม่รู้ตัว

  • @riffmagos Please don't visit Thailand because we won't welcome you. Before you said anything you should prove it. I'm Thai and I saw how these tigers has been tortured. They were hunted for only one piece of shit. No one helps, but when the monk got them here, their conditions are getting better.

  • @sirintohn: i agree with u, its funny when i see a british guy talking about it in another country hahaha. I mean face it, most of these pple are meat eaters, they eat animals, factory farming of cows, chicken, pigs all living in worse conditions came from UK and USA hahaha and these idiots when talk about such a thing , it really makes me laugh. i am not sayin only they r like tht, chinese & japanese being eastern countries also do tht. These idiots shld first check & then say,sad tiger wtf

  • @jahankavaasi When you are there you don't have to look very hard to find the cruelty and very strong vibe that something is definitely not quite right

  • These temple arseholes have signed agreements with the illegal tiger farms in Laos. Their only intentions are GREED. Plain and simple. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • thanks for sharing, the monks good intentions have turned sour.

  • don't mess with the king of the jungle man they can rip your ass off as you blink your eyes

  • Absolutely terrible!!

  • continued from below......

so basically its a necessary evil. Tigers need 100 km squared of land so obvioulsy its not ideal - but its better than them becoming extinct whcih is what will happen if this tiger temple didnt exist. We were initially wary but now believe it is important ot support them so they can buy more land .

  • Actually we are in Kanchanaburi at the moment and have just been talking to an American volunteer here who prepares the food for them himself . The Tigers are not drugged - just very well fed before being allowed anywhere near a tourist . They are also only allowed to be around tourists when they are sleeping off drowsily in the middle of the day .

Unfortunately SEeast Asia has lost 70 % of its tigers to poaching in thelast ten years, the rest will dissapear in the next ten years.

  • Many of the tigers there they have got illegally from a tiger farm in Laos.

  • This place is exploiting animals for pure profit.

Thailand and many other foreign countrys have a history of useing drugs-Valium or similar to sedate wild animals. In the same way the gibbon monkeys( which u will see being exploited on many Thai islands ) are drugged in order to make them docile to pose for photographs with tourists.

The tiger temple does exactly the same thing! Thailand is a fascinating place with plenty to do. there is no need to put $ in to this hell hole!

  • @NealMD1 Thankyou, finally someone understands the real point behind this disgusting issue.

  • can some one explain me whats happing in a zoo?

  • @kab006 Nothing good happens for animals in zoos, would you like to know more?

  • Me and my husband are going to Thailand at christmas and can't decide whether to go here or not,,, we have mixed views, our friends went and said they thought they could be drugged as otherwise why would they sit so still and not attack, but the other thing is,,, I don't want to go all that way and not go and see them. We are trying to find out as much as we can about the place,, any advice on good informative sites????

We really don't want to give them our money if it's a really cruel place:

  • my dad is atiger trainer. and nope tiger are not drug. tiger and lion are not active during the day , the usally sleep and take nap. and they tend to hunt at night, if u search more.. u will find there is no prove or clrealy of anythign about those tiger beeing miss treated.

  • This is the first I've heard of them being drugged, but it is possible. Not very Buddhist of them but possible. Supposively they are so tranquil because the monks at the temple have raised the cubs basically since birth and they are just used to having people around.

I had never seen footage of the long line of tourists before either tho, that alone would discourage me. I was under the impression this was more of a true Theravada temple not a tourist trap.

  • tickle a tiger more like get eaten like tender roast beef, no way soft human flesh is going to intimidate a tiger, tiger is probably thinking if it is hungry yummy 200 pounds of ground beef satisfy my hunger.

  • I didn't see any cruelty or mistreatment of tigers in Kanchanaburi when I visited. Btw, how do you know they were drugged? You're a vet and you compared these ones with a non-drugged "domesticated" tiger that you've had around ?

  • Because you fucking idiot, Tiger's don't just sit there and let hundards of people invade their personal space, and then pet on head like "oh okay".

Even the tamest Tiger wouldn't even allow that.

If they wern't drugged then they'd have at least ripped on arm don't you think?

    Stupid!

Look at those Tiger's and tell me again that they're not drugged.

    Ignorant fool.

Oh btw I'm a Vet student, so let's see how you can come with a proper come back answer.

  • Why doesn't this place get legal? they've had enough time and they're certainly raking in enough money. The reality is that this is a very lucrative BUSINESS! The monks are keeping an endangered species ILLEGALLY! Pray that they do drug them, because a sober tiger would eventually rip someone's head off. This place is a scam and no one who really cares about tiger should support it. Hey monks, prove you're out to help tigers by getting professionals to help or shut it down!!!

  • I had the very same feeling when I was there a few years back, great experience to hold a tiger but not so much when you see them being drugged...
