This is called entertainment, and people LOVE to be entertained. Worhipping faith is NOT worshipping Jesus...I would not have any contention with Mr. Joel Osteen, if he would not call himself a pastor, not call his organization a church, and call himself a motivational speaker. Jesus had something quite different to say about self.
I'm a skeptic at heart and I have been waiting for someone to dig up dirt on Joel, but honestly the most I've seen is absolutely far reaching and laughable. Link him to Devil Worshipers and then maybe you'll have something but honestly one interpretation of the Bible vs another is not concrete enough. These are loose interpretations. He clearly has scripture that supports what he is preaching. Jury is still out but I haven't seen a red flag yet.
When I see scripture that supports yahweh wanting his people to prosper it makes me think the enemy wants mankind to think negative so they will not prosper. Joel Osteen once said in an interview that Prosper does not necessarily equate to wealth. I wonder if this is why the Catholic Church preached that to have any wealth was a sin, while the high ranking clergy lived quite lavishly. Makes you wonder. Hmmm.
@skoopoop08 You need to wake and realize that this guy is teaching self-gratification and self-positive thinking. get into scripture and read how Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness for 40 days with all of the things that Osteen is teaching in his books. "You're Best Life Now" is not what God wants for you. Ever read what Christ says about us losing our lives and finding it? or how about NOT acquiring treasures on this earth? I think this guy is right on the ball and you feel threatened
Tear Joel down all you want for his feel good false gospel but leave his daddy John alone. John Osteen could really preach the Gospel. His son? Nope, not at all....

@angelmrpaul Who's judging? How is it judging to say what the truth is? I think this guy has it right on. People aren't supposed to point when someone is doing something wrong? Are you on God's side or Osteen's side? Because you can't be on both since Osteen's words contradict what the bible says.

The video maker gave a personal opinion at the end an that's his right but every event is fact. The seat cost, the sign blowing down. Gods' word says that power over life and death is in your tongue. And he also instructed us tho call those things that be not as though they were. Lakewood Church was spoken into existance over a half centry ago and it;s still here .Did God do something wrong? We are followers of Christ and speak like him for him as he did for GOD.

Joel OSteen is preaching Good things and that God is a God of Hope, blessings, forgiveness and the likes if you believe. You are comparing our to the life in Jesus time when life is hard and Christians are persecuted. How about the lives of Abraham, Daniel of Job of Joseph. These people were given a lot of blessings from God and if it is his will who are we to decide what is good and not good for everyone. It is not bad to wish for good things to everyone.
