this is just incredible!!!! i'm simply dumbfounded. i didn't know they had the technology to make full 8-bit video game songs!! and i thought the NES was the first to have really great game music. rob hubbard is a genius
Finally I found this music demo from the C-64! I always remembered it had something to do with Rob Hubbard, but I never found it, until now. Ah, the memories of childhood and this cool music on the TV/computer.
I never understood what's going on with those huge white hexagon shoulderpad thingies on the drummer. Only thing I can think of is that it's a space where sprites were meant to go, but they forgot or ran out of memory/sprites. Or maybe they really are shoulder pads?
They're supposed to be the hi-toms from the drum set. Since it's a digital drum set, they can have virtually any shape you want and in the 80's it was en vogue to make them hexagons.
Childhood memory! :)

Forgot about this one. Man, Rob is great ! NO CLUE as to how he managed to get so much sound out of the SID.

I never rated Thrust as a tune, Monty, Delta or the Sanxion intro were Robs best.
