I never leave comments but after watching this I had to...Dude this is not selling anyone on kickstart bikes. You should try Full choke 2 prime kicks, 1/2 choke, power on and Kick, should fire right up, If not check your tuning...Kind of a comedy of errors, lmfao

1st of all, with a carburator that has an accelerator pump, you need not to close the choke & kick. Just squirt the gas by pumping the throttle a couple of times, IGN on, & kick!. You over enriched it!

I have been kick starting my panhead since 1971 and I can tell you this idiot knows nothing about it. An s&s carb has no choke, you give it a couple squrts from the throttle-it avtivates an accelerator pump. then you kick it and it starts. Mine starts on the first kick almost always and when it doesn't it goes on the second one. Steve Moore

Then flood your engine, just keep twisting that throttle, you want to wash down those cylinder walls the best you can. Walk around and scratch your head trying to figure out why it wont start. Pump it a few more times, then when she finally does fire, rev the piss out of it and take off right away! Make sure you burn up that clutch! Then post the results on YouTube...

Try one ot two cold primer kicks then go hot and it should start right up. Then take all the time you waste kicking and use it to let the engine warm up and let the oil flow through the engine a bit.

The way he slammed down into first gear before waiting for his tranny to stop spinning tells me how ignorant he is about HD's. He's probably one of those guys who pulls his clutch and downs shifts a whole tranny worth of gears down to first while rolling 40 mph to a stop sign! LOL! Without cracking the throttle to mate each lower gear. He definitely doesn't deserve to ride or own THIS machine!

My 58 pan....2 twists of throttle ....one kick....everytime.
Check your timing...adjust pushrods and stop ridin the clutch

I think this bike needs a little work. (A tune up wouldn't hurt)
Lose the 4 pre-ignition kicks, as well as all the crankin on the throttle... a properly tuned bike should kick over within 3 kicks max.
If the bike is setup right, you should get your first sign of life with the choke still on.
Then back off on the choke and let er rip. (Taking into consideration I see palm trees in the background, this isn't a cold weather start)

Plus either your bike or your method needs serious work, should never be that hard to start. Whats with the throttle pumping??!!!!
