  • I can't see or hear anything of Ronnie or his voice anymore without getting emotional. He was such a big influence to me as a person and as a musician. Thank you Ronnie. Thanks to you, I've become a better musician & an easier going person. RIP friend. You are a genuinely missed good soul.

  • I,m drinking to ye Ronnie...That voice alone!!! Ride on

  • I think there might be a bit of Ronnie-style cynism involved. Y'know... IF I'm already bald... I may as well play the blues.

  • Would anyone ever play in a successful band like this again? Or is it all this R&B shit.

  • Please shut the fuck up..... Ronnie Drew was and never will be Jazz he is Irish Folk with about 7% Ausie Folk...

  • @Scrapncubs Regardless, Ronnie was a brilliant musician and a legend in his time. He's one of the greatest performers in history, and a part of legendary band that produced not only he, but Luke Kelly as well. The issue is not his musical style or genre, the issue is respect. Respect for Ronnie Drew and his final recording before his death in 2008.

  • What a spirit! God bless Ronnie and his friends!

  • it was a blessing having ronnie drew here to entertain us , what a wonderful man he was..

  • Ronnie we mis you!

  • nobody will ever match ronnie, not now or ever he was a rare talent and we should be proud that he was one of our own

  • ill never forget i was watchn the late late show and pat jkenny was talking to a bald man with no beard sitting in the audience and i thought god he sounds exactly like ronnie drew, cudnt beleive it was actually him.

    RIP

  • @0876911790 I know I was watching it aswell and I couldn't believe it when my nana told me that it was Ronnie Drew, he will be missed by Ireland,

R.I.P Ronnie Drew, GO ON YA GOOD THING!!!!!

  • I surley miss him verry, verry much...

  • GOD only knows if we'll ever have another person to match Ronnie. We sure miss him.

  • @ErnstBecker yup i remember when i seen this appearence on the interview he done that's shown on this video i had tears in me eyes and i dont think there will ever be another person like ronnie or luke they wor two of a kind

  • @ErnstBecker No one could touch his Raw talent and amazing voice. every time I hear his voice I shed a few tears

  • @ErnstBecker Ronnie was a once off. That won't happen twice.

  • Hard to believe that his first anniversary is in two and a half weeks time.

  • The beard may had gone, but those blue eyes were unmistakable.

  • Met him in Killarney in 1990. He was a wonderful man.

  • Interesting hearing Ronnie step out of his genre and record jazz. Tough seeing him without that trademark beard, though. Nonetheless he was great to the end! RIP Ronnie.

  • rip big man ,,, well all mis ya

  • Ronnie's last ever album. Does anyone know if there's the Dubliners version of 'The Stone Outside Dan Murphy's Door' on this site? It's from the album '30 Years A-Greying'.

  • brilliant album well done to all involved
