lol, wii is only better bcause of monster hunter tri, otherwise it sucks in every other way. graphics, online, accuracy (ps3 now has motion tracking controllers which are a lot more accurate and respond faster) games in general since the discs hold more info, and online is still free like wii but stil has better servers concidering it has better wifi connection to routers.

Mine were actually real criticisms and not just sarcasm. I have played Mario Galaxy, and i enjoyed it. And the truth is that the PS3 does get better 3rd part support than the Wii does; Hence better quality of games. No, you're confusing 'presentation' with 'graphics' the latter being concerned with the technical aspect of the game. Besides, it's merely common sense that an inferior piece of hardware like the wii will get a different scaling system. It's the same for the PSP, PS2 and the DS, they get rated according to what they can do. Amazing graphics on the PS2 do NOT mean amazing graphics on the PS3. It's all about Gameplay. Graphics just make you wanna play it. Sometimes you find games with the best graphics, but then figure out that it sucks. The wii has the motion sensor, which will make it more fun than the PS3, just pushing buttons all the time.

I recommend PS3 if:
- You are nerd who prefer to just sit on the couch and tap buttons.
- You are nerd who just wants to show socalled "awesome" PS3 graphics to everyone.
- You need BluRay player, or
- You have HD tv.
Otherwise i recommend Wii (much better games, 10 times better controller etc.)

man, back in the gold ol' days, the games were awsome, everything was simple and systems were built like bricks! i still got my snes for 18 years and its still plays like it was brand new! newer systems on the other hand... xbox keeps getting that damn red rings of death every fuckin 2 weeks, ps3 overheats like its in hell, and the wii... well, nothing i know is really a constant problem with it, but the fuckin ds lite cant go a whole year wiithout something breaking!

games are better are based on personal opinion. No one has the right to say either of which sucks or anything.PS3 games tend to be more realistic,more gory,and has games that appeal to people who likes bloodshed and realistic games. The Wii however has more casual games,and the games tend to have a cartoony feel to it. But both consoles have repeated games and are very expensive. Tip:Get a bicycle and experience the real world.

Also have you ever thought that maybe the reason the wii is more popular because of its already built up reputation. Zelda has been around for a really long time,and maybe people buy the console because they have already been a fan of the previous games of Nitendo and feel that the wii is going to be something equally good. Mine were actually real criticisms and not just sarcasm. I have played Mario Galaxy, and i enjoyed it. Though in saying that, i was extremely dissapointed with the very very unoriginal plot and lack of character development. Otherwise it was ok. And the truth is that the PS3 does get better 3rd part support than the Wii does; Hence better quality of games. I never called EVERYONE who liked the wii a so-and-so, i called anyone who say that graphics don't matter ignorant, and they are.

No, you're confusing 'presentation' with 'graphics' the latter being concerned with the technical aspect of the game. Besides, it's merely common sense that an inferior piece of hardware like the wii will get a different scaling system. It's the same for the PSP, PS2 and the DS, they get rated according to what they can do. Amazing graphics on the PS2 do NOT mean amazing graphics on the PS3. Same applies to the wii, amazing wii graphics < amazing PS3 graphics. Understand that much?

I can also say that MGS4 and GTA4, which you both love, are boring and generic. An overhyped shooter game with a different age of the main character with graphics that aren't that great to start with, with many iterations is FUN and interesting? Rubbish.

Another thing you should understand (that you probably don't) is that Wii games have a different scaling system as far as ratings go when compared to PS3 and 360 games. That's just how inferior it is. And to make sure you understand this completely i'll give you a detail; You have a Supercar and a station wagon, the supercar is fast for a supercar but the station wagon is fast for a station wagon. Does this make the Supercar and wagon equally as fast?? nope, it doesn't..

To disprove what i'm saying, you would have to say that SMG looks as good as Bioshock does. Something only an fanboy would say. Moreover heres the first line in their description of the graphics for SMG 'Outstanding on Wii.' There, the wii has a different scaling system as far as ratings go. This makes the wii's 'acclaimed games' hold less value, also how many WII (OoT doesn't count) games have gotten 10/10 from IGN or Gamespot? hmm? None? well that's a shame.

A review however (while not completely free of such setbacks) are done on a far more neutral level, things are reviewed for what they are = "Outstanding on the wii". Moreover, a game reviewer is actually someone who knows what makes a good game and what doesn't, something that they actually learn. Read my examples in previous comment, you ARE arrogant.

I said nothing about their 'feelings' its their knowledge of what technical aspects make a game good or not good that makes their opinion matter. I'm saying YES, they're opinions are usually more respected, YES, I AGREE.
HOWEVER, in no way are those opinions BETTER, HIGHER, or MORE SUBSTANTIAL than ANYONE'S opinions. I can be a game reviewer, and my opinions are still of the same weightage as that of a common person who plays games.

As we already discussed, the Wii has a different scaling system, and as positions are based on scores that those games got, its expected.

A "game reviewer", of all people, are definitely not "above" my opinions, or anyone for that matter.
As stated before, there is no such course on "game reviewing", and in the end, it's still one man's or a few on a game from a certain organization.
It does NOT make it higher than anyone's opinion, because that's what it is.

Most of the Wii library consists of VC titles anyway, that's just recycling old product. And an educated reviewers opinion will hold more value than yours or mine will.. seeing as it's their JOB, they actually KNOW what they're talking about. Thus making it more than a common opinion. I absolutely do not see how the number of Wii titles in comparison to VC titles is relevant to which is better.
There are more PS2 titles in comparison to PS3 titles. I can say the very same thing. If I recall, the PS3 has backwards compatibility.

It's all about Gameplay. Graphics just make you wanna play it. Sometimes you find games with the best graphics, but then figure out that it sucks. The wii has the motion sensor, which will make it more fun than the PS3, just pushing buttons all the time.
But I can't say PS3 sucks. I love playing PS3 and Wii but I'm just saying it's your opinion. Just stick with what you like best and stop trying to change other people's opinions.
