NY WAS more dangerous though. compare Compton to the 46th precinct in the Bronx (had 93 homicides) or the 75th in Brooklyn (had more than 100 homicides). Compton has had 90 homicides in a year. The difference? Compton is 10 square miles and the 46th pct. in the Bronx covers 1 sq. mile. so you were more likely to face violence living in that neighborhood. I'm glad NY is safer now..
